Elysium smells great but the problem with the performance is just terrible and barely projects specially for the price it’s going for you would expect beastmode projection and longevity. This is also a common issue with roja fragrances just like creed they keep charging high prices with quality not on par

I absolutely adore most of the Roja Parfums line and typically agree on performance, it's generally quite average. Elysium, for whatever reason, is the exception for me. I get about 6-8hrs out of it, which for a Roja Parfum is very long for me. Sadly, all Creeds I've tried have genuinely comedic longevity.

Yes, niche is expensive. But to me, it’s worth it if you find one you really love. Designer fragrances get worse over time. Niche gets better over time. Designer fragrances make me feel bad. Niche makes me feel good. I remember getting into the fragrance game and testing everything at Macys. I was trying to understand different notes and learning different brands like: Chanel, Dior and V&R. I few of them smelled good, but never great. My first designer purchase was Invictus Legend.

@@dlrsnate5100 I’ve worked in fragrances for over 10 years brother. They’re not. They’re mass produced garbage all made in the same factors with a “designer label” on it. Using pretty much all synthetic & lowest quality oils. You spray the creed on she’s talking about, it’s not gonna smell the same on both of us. You spray ANY Chanel, Dior, YSL, etc etc… basically anything you can find at macys… I can smell you from a mile away and trust it’s not pleasant.

It’s really easy to be fascinated by mid grade designer fragrances when you’re new. I would know, that was me. However , niche frags really ace it when it comes to making you feel good. I smell Elysium and Aventus and they provide a sensation that designer fragrances cannot. Smell is one of the most powerful of the 5 senses. And a beautiful fragrance made with high quality natural ingredients from a niche house can really alter how people interact with you.

I have both. I like the scent of SMW more. But the longevity and projection kills it for me. 2-3+ hours for 2021 batch. Elysium last longer and projects better- 6-7+ hours on my skin. Value for money I would still go with Elysium. Got mine from your links!

Creed sells their oils separately. It’s my biggest issue with them. That’s why it doesn’t last as long as it could. Typically blend my Creeds with other brands. Usually Tom Ford.

People don’t understand. They think because a lighter scent is mostly citrus it’s better in heat not necessarily once you go over 85 degrees it will evaporate fast from sweating and heat soak. Spray these in winter fall spring it will actually last longer.

I have both i actually get decent performance from roja elysium about 8 hours on skin and the creed smw is gone without trace after 4 hours, I can see how the creed can be unisex but the roja has extremely masculine ambergris in it and the longer I’ve had my bottle the more the stronger that ambergris note seems to of become, aventus by creed same thing when i first got it i got the ambergris note but it seemed subtle and then after having it a while it stands out and has gone a bit smoky too, Elysium ain’t as smoky but the ambergris jumps out at me and it smells masculine and i get similarities with aventus to be honest but both are doing their own thing just fruity and ambergris is in the core sort of thing, I get slightly better performance from aventus but for someone else it could be the other way around i don’t think there’s much in it and I prefer green Irish tweed personally to any of the creed’s I’ve tried and i like it more than this roja Elysium although the roja is still very good

I've even heard that Silver Mountain Water on some last 2 hours. Not sure why main Stores that sell cologne in the USA but I only seen that you have to order Creed online here. Newman and Marcus doesn't have it. Sephora doesn't have it. I'm not sure Macy's has it. Which sucks because I just made a blind purchase of Kilian's Angel's Share and it's not my Favorite.

That Elysium bottle gets lower and lower every time it shows up lol. I got Elysium and it's pretty damn good. Smells like a bottle of fun of very fruity/fresh/pineapple-ly. Got a decant of Silver Mountain Water coming so I'll update on my toughts. Great video as always Melissa. Have you tired Dloce and Gabanna light blue yet?

Just bought a 2017 batch of SMW, gorgeous scent. Got a high partial for a great price. Havent smelled Elysium though, haven't seen it at counters myself yet. I'm mad because i was debating on buying SMW before i smelled Elysium but i said fuck it 😂 was a good deal though like i said at least.. plus i already have a decant of aventus and decants of a few pineapple vintage, plus CDNIM LE... got enough pineapple.

I also noticed that people who buy designer fragrances usually have multiple. They’ll have like 4 bottles from Macys that totals to about $400 and every bottle is like barely used. Little do they know the fragrance is getting worse. Omg I bought Azzaro The Most Wanted when it released cause I thought it was so good, then 3 months later it smelled like shit. Meanwhile I drop $300 on a niche like Creed and I use the whole bottle and the fragrance gets better with every use. I value having one fragrance and not multiple random cheap designer fragrances.

You dont sound too smart. If you can destroy most wanted within 3 months then its a YOU problem. I love niche as smell but you can find a lot of great designers also. Designers and niche are not that to far from each other one brand just only focus on fragrance and the othe rhave other things going like clothing etc.. Like Chanel dont make great fragrance louis vuitton, Versace, Dior etc many og them have timeless classics
