Oh my goodness people always have to find something to complain about. I think your color coding makes total sense and clearly you just used the rainbow and were not meaning to offend anyone. People need to get over themselves and stop picking things apart. It always amazes me when people leave negative remarks on videos. They clearly don’t realize that making a video is a ton of work and you’re offering us free info!! I appreciate you. Thank you for doing this. God bless!

My struggles have brought me closer to God. I will continue to be a proverbs 31 women, I will only pursue the wisdom of God instead of the wisdom of this world. I still love and trust Jesus even though I have fallen on hard times. I WILL KEEP FAITH! Since covid I can’t seem to get back on my feet. Like so many others. I’m struggling financially, desperately trying to support my two autistic children and myself. My husband passed away years ago. I’m alone and overwhelmed. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital over declining the vaccine, I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide ever since. I’m now waitressing, and I’m so thankful to be working but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. Groceries and gas prices are going up every day. Every month is a struggle not to end up homeless on the streets with my two boys. But I keep faith in God, no matter what. I know he will provide. He has this far. He is the God of Possible. Please keep me and my children in your prayers. No PITY just prayers. God bless.

Thank you for your series! 💖I love your color coding! I use 10 colors for underlining/highlighting. There are times that I want more, but you opened my eyes that using more colors can make focus on coding vs study. I appreciate your heart toward your viewers. You spoke gracefully about when people get prickly about using specific colors. 🤩

I can’t with people JUDGING someone because they want to use color in their Bible….Bible study is personal. If she was like ripping pages or writing profanities. I can understand someone being upset. But if you don’t like it don’t watch

I love the idea of the tip -in at the back of the Bible that you can open up so you can see it wherever you are in the Bible. I used Bible highlighting keys on index cards with a paper clip attached through a hole for bookmarks. These worked fine, but they weren't as convenient as your tip -in! I'm going to add these to ask my Bibles that I highlight in. Thank you so much! This is such a great tool!

Just discovered your video. Love the color coding though I have just ordered Mr. Pen 8 colors, I think. But I love how many you have. Sometimes there are crossovers in scriptures for color coding and you are very helpful in the way you do things. Oh btw even though I’ve read and studied the Bible my whole life I just ordered a journaling Bible to start this adventure. I’m so excited to have found you and I’ll watch the rest of your videos for more great ideas. I thank God that you are sharing all these wonderful ideas with us.

New subscriber here. I have been watching vids to help me put together a reference Bible for the new “War” Room prayer room at my church. I truly appreciate your logic in asking the how and where and when questions. So many facets to consider, and I want desperately for this to be useful to the folks who go in for prayer “warfare”! Plus, I have added SO many notes in my own Bible that it’s become entirely (uncomfortably) too heavy to lug back and forth so loving your coding system. I saw on another’s channel where he used a numbering system, and made all his notes in notebooks, adding the numbers next to the Scripture that coordinated within his notebooks (i.e., A001, B004, etc), so I may try a combo of the two for my next personal Bible. But back to the War Room Bible, I would like to make it as useable as possible for anyone who wanders in with something heavy on their heart to come before the Lord with. I will be praying how to ask and answer those questions you brought up in the beginning of this in figuring out how to compose the architecture of it. Thank you so much for your insights and suggestions!!

I do enjoy highlighting meaningful verses, but I really want to try being more intentional and organized by trying a color code system. Eleven colors feels ambitious to me, so I think I'll start with 6-8. I'm excited to thoughtfully select my categories. I love your tip in idea!

Thank you, for your video. I am very new to my faith, I have not even started Bible Journaling, but I know that I am fixing to start. So, forgive me for this question if it seems a little dumb. When you say a Bible for a season, does that mean you will stop using that Bible? Or, whenever you do stop using a particular Bible and move on to the next, what do you do with the one you are done with? I have a KJV Study (Sword) Bible that I purchased years ago, but I am loving the ESV Bibles. So, if I upgrade (lack of better word) what would I do with my KJV. I probably also need to mention I live in a very small home, and I already homeschool 2 children, so books are EVERYWHERE lol. You could probably win the lottery before you find somewhere to put a book LOL.

There’s no such thing as a dumb question here 😊 I believe what I meant when I said a Bible for a season is, yes, using a particular Bible primarily for a time and then shelving it and using another one primarily for a time. I own several Bibles and so I’m generally flipping through a couple at any given time during a study. It’s not necessary because of technology and Bible apps, etc., but that’s how I roll ☺️ So to answer your question, I just have a few shelves for my Bibles and when I’m done with one as a primary, it’ll go on the shelf with the rest! I hope that helps!

your interleaved bible cover is very nice i hadn't seen that one ---- my color code system is Red blood of Christ Jesus, IN Christ...in Him etc who I am in Him verses is where i started back in the 80's it was mentioned in a Bible study book to underline these occurences and i begandoing so since between bachelor's degree and Masters degrees ... green is the color of wrong doing/ wickedness/ sin to me... yellow glory shining etc of Deity, orange =covenant/ promises what my part is, purple Holy Spirit, flow in the river of Holy Spirit, etc ... brown= historical and if a note refers to an historical in the world contemporary world event [for example which here is where i started ---when Daniel refers to leopard being Greece] i shade those notes in light browns color pencils i also use same color coding in my study journal

Ty so much for this vid! I love your CC system ~ it’s not confusing or overwhelming so ty ty ty !!! ~ 😂 and I can’t stop laughing that somebody had to bring identity politicking to the Bible study table ~ it’s a contest between laughing and rolling my eyes ~ I mean people being geeked up about race to the point they have to gate keep somebody’s color coding choices is so funny yet so annoying at the same time it’s almost unbelievable 🤣🙄🤣🙄🤣🙄

Just came across your color code video….labor intensive😅. I’m sorry, but not surprised by the racial comment. End times are here, evil abounds to distract us from what is good (God). We have to pray for the nay-sayers and continue to do the work that God has called us to do…..❤️🙏

Forgive me Sister, but I have to address your error in performing this work. I do not agree with what you are doing. Do you actually study your Bible and how did anyone understand anything before highlighters? What if you had no colored pens to mark what is important, oh, perhaps you would have to memorize a verse or two or all of it ;-) Every moment you are striking a line in the book you are not paying attention to God or the Holy Spirit are you? Contrary to popular belief one cannot multitask effectively. And even if you could God requires all of your attention while in His Word. It wasn't inspired to be a coloring book. God gave us minds to use to study, learn and remember what He told us. There is no such thing as a "proper" way to mark up a Bible. Again, Christ asked God for the Paraclete to come help us understand. We have the only tool we need in that fulfilled request. And how much time did you spend working this out. One last question, do you think God will chastise you for not marking the right verse? Please... in your next video speak to others about the Gospel of Christ Risen and the gift of the Holy Spirit who will bring us all knowledge. We do not need a yellow highlighter or a six inch ruler do we? We have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, Christ within us... we do not need the crutch of a marking system. Remember there were no chapters in the Books of Moses in the beginning... again how did anyone learn anything without a burnt umber marking pen... black ink on vellum was all it took for God's people to hear the word read to them. Stop this.

I'm trying to figure out a color coding scheme for 2023. I have six colors available. So far I have yellow for "general interest", blue for "faith and promises", orange for ???, green for "grace, charity", pink for "sin, repentance" and purple for "the Holy Spirit." I would dearly appreciate suggestions as to how others use color highlights. This will be a new discipline for me and I need all the help I can get. 🙏. Please prayerfully consider your thoughts in this matter. ThAnk. You. 👨🏻‍🦳. MikeInMinnesota
