there's no way to recover data overwritten by this worm, other than to replace the data from backups. if you actually still have this worm on your computer six years after the fact, you need to take a serious look at your security configuration.

Just Cause 2 is a Sandbox-ish game where the main purpose is to cause chaos, some people feel the need to cheat while doing it, it is possible that the trainer was infected, however it probably wasn't and was identified as malware because it temporarily rewrites game code in order for you to cheat.

those viruses which danooct1 shows us does not represent threat anymore. they've been patched long ago.. all windows versions (win Xp sp3, vista, win 7 sp1 and 8) are immune to those virus samples, this are old viruses which only work on win 95, 98, 2000. some of them works on XP but not on SP3 !!! and if even they could represent thread i just will use Virtual machine that it.

Once I got a virus and it changed my desktop to "HA Stupid Idiot" in flashing text and changed my username to Idiot 1.0. It also changed the "welcome, loading your personal settings" text when you log on to windows xp to "hello idiot, loading your personal settings." I got rid of it.
