After much thought, I believe the From series is a another of many modern retellings of ancient Egyptian mythology. This idea struck me when Sara gouged out Elgin's eye. The name El suggests divinity, and I think Elgin symbolizes Horus. In Egyptian mythology, Seth gouges out Horus's left eye, paralleling Sara's actions. Seth also kills his brother, again aligning with Sara. Boyd, whose name means "yellow," clearly represents Ra, the sun god and life-sustainer. Boyd enables the townspeople's survival and battles chaos-symbolized by the man in yellow and his monsters-in the underworld (the town) at night, just as Ra fights Apep in Duat (the underworld) at night. Tabitha represents Isis, the goddess of family, while Jim aligns with Osiris, Isis's husband and protector. Victor embodies Thoth, the keeper of knowledge and secrets, and recorder of events. I can show so many more parallels. Given Jim's symbolic role as Osiris, I know Season 4 will be intense. In the myths, Osiris's death triggers major events, so Jim's death probably will too. I can't wait!

This has been my favourite season of the show, I understand why others got frustrated but I had a blast every episode and the slower pace, quieter emotional tone and character focus really worked for me. Tabitha was the big surprise for me, obviously I still really love Kenny, Boyd, Jade etc - the clear fan favourites - but Catalina absolutely knocked it out of the park this season, she's in my top 3 now when the Matthews family were all my least favourites in S1&2. Hannah Cheramy as well - just absolutely killing it this season. Goes without saying Scott McCord & Elizabeth Saunders are total powerhouses , and Robert Joy has been an incredible addition to the cast - Victor & Henry's scenes are my favourite in the entire show, reduced me to tears multiple times this season. I loved this season, this show is a strong contender for my favourite show of 2024 :)

Elgin is a simpleton who really thought that dried up creepy husk was an angel. I felt a little bad for him, because I hoped Boyd would outsmart him when the camera went off by looking at the photo and saying, "Oh! OK!" Elgin: "What?! What does the picture show?!" Boyd: "It shows me where she's at." Turns to leave. Elgin: "It shows the root cellar?" No torture necessary. But, Sara fully embracing her role to help the town was a joy to behold. She's become the town's new monster on their side!

Hi Fromily.....😮 My son and I were watching tonight and after the scene with Julie and Ethan talking about story reincarnation, my son said this. He's an avid Nerd-in-training and told me that in some of the books he reads, there is a type of reincarnation where one can go back in past but can not change what is. This immediately made me think of theme song and started thinking.....Well Hellz, They have been telling us all of this from day one. What an amazing episode!!! Knowing what we thought to be and then watching it play out, Man ...o Man....great actors and killer performances! Never liked a Jim, until he started getting his ish together and then ......RRRippppppp. RIP 😢Buddy!

I think Fatima was suppose to be Smileys first meal and was suppose to die, but because she was saved in time, someone else had to die. Boyd had gotten the weak picture of his house from kimono lady to deter boyd from finding out where fatima was from Elgin and If sarah never did that, fatima would still be in that cellar with the hatch open where the monsters were. Kimono lady was like a midwife and only cared that the monster be born in the dark. Fatima wasnt suppose to make it out alive

This episode was great, fiew things: Elign: Was it really worth it to loose an eye and get a hand surgery in order to spill the beans at the end ... ?! SARA: LOVE how her character develops, best one in the series yet. SARA is my #1 even considering BOYD who is a great modern day Hamlet. ACOSTA: Please kill that woman ... SMILEY: When Boyd killed him in S2, I was like: WHAT THE HELL, everyone loved him, how are they getting rid of him so easily. And now when I saw the kimono lady brining the newborn in the tunnels, I was 100% sure It'll be Smiley reborn !! Epic !

It was a great episode!! NO, it wasn't worth it to take Elgin's eye. It accomplished NOTHING. The voice ALREADY told Sarah they would be too late. Elgin didn't even fight back to protect himself, why did they think hurting him was a good thing?!?!? They only had to FOLLOW HIM to see where Fatima was. So stupid. Now Boyd and Sarah have compromised their souls AND their reputations in Fromville for a whole lot of NOTHING. Poor stupid Boyd, what is he going to do down there with those monsters and his pea shooter??😂😂
