@@j.a.c.3776 yeah, the whole family is wrecked and he's supposed to be their leader. He's so worried about being accepting and nice that he's allowed too much. It's cruelty through negligence. This is why more men need to work on that thus why I recommend more watch Kevin's shows and read "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Dr. Robert Glover. There's a reason for the traditional "oppressive" patriarchy. It's order, reason, logic, stability, etc. Without it, this is an example of the chaos that comes as a result.

WHAT JOKE??? All Chris did was make reference to a movie that starred yet another beautiful actress sporting a shaved head! The movie G.I. Jane should be embraced by every tough, independent, feminist bw in America, since it portrayed a woman doing everything her military team mates could do! Jada should’ve been proud that he used that comparison with her!🤷🏽‍♀️ Also, The Black Panther boasted a whole “elite squad” of baldheaded sisters, and bw the world over went nuts and wore shaved heads for quite a while after that! What happened to all that pride??🤔

Chris held back twice . For a split second you can see him fist up and start to swing which was simply a reflex reaction he had . If it was scripted that wouldnt have happened . He instantly thought better of doing that for his own ramifications. Second time he held back is when he said " I could ... alright ... then laughs " basically his comedian mind saying I could absolutely destroy you right now with all of the baggage you have . But again held back on verbally destroying Will in front of the world . No doubt at all Chris was the bigger man .

He was chasing her love and approval then and he still is now and he’s willing to destroy himself and his legacy in pursuit of it. You gotta give him credit for his tenacity though , hes known as the hardest working actor in Hollywood, in an interview he said that he would die before he gives up in whatever he pursues, its done great for his career but horrible for his relationship with that extremely undeserving woman. My question is why she hasn’t left yet if she’s soo unhappy by her own account. Women file 80% of divorces in this country, her kids are grown, money is not an issue, she stands to gain more from leaving their marriage or seperating rather than staying, what keeps Jada around?

1:27:10 This 53 year old is really immature for her age and believes in archaic behavior: she thinks it is okay for her partner to hit another man for verbally "disrespecting" her and possibly go to jail for it. Such a situation could also escalate further if one of the parties has weapons with him. That is, the man should throw his life away to defend a woman who feels verbally insulted? There are quite a few other ways to respond to an insult that don't have serious consequences. This is actually trivial. Think before you act and control your emotions, shouldn't you have learned that after 53 years? It seems to me that stoicism is more important than ever in an overemotional world.

Although I haven't behaved like Will since my early 20's, I never quite realized how much better I could do. It's not about not fighting, it's about not allowing yourself to be emotionally manipulated by others. That wasn't easy to do. He didn't punk out, he made a rational decision considering the circumstances.

The entire incident was absolutely sad. As a married man I most admit Will Smith was wrong. It was misguided anger on his part. Totally disappointing. I salute Chris Rock. I honestly wouldn't have had his restraint.

So, if Will had called his wife a garden tool and told her to get out after her "entanglements", that would have been construed as toxic masculinity. Him slapping Chris Rock, apparently wasn't. In other words, if you are acting on behalf of HER benefit, it's chivalry, if you are acting in your best interest, that's toxic. Either way, men lose.

Agreed. The 28 year old man 1:54:19 who thought the assault was "funny" needs a reality re calibration. I wonder what he'd do if he was slapped in such a way? I bet he wouldn't think it was funny. If the same thing happened to this young man & he over reacted, it may have lifelong consequences. Humiliation is often the greatest trigger for violence there is & why many people find themselves in jail doing life sentences.

My wife acted out-of-pocket on a trip we took while dating. I checked her, put her on ice for a week (zero contact whatsoever), so eventually, she apologized for her behavior. In fact, she said that my unwillingness to put up with her acting out made her more (not less) attracted to me. She appreciated the fact that I was a man who required her respect. Now, she advises women to seek out men of strength. Her premise is that if a man will stand up to you, then he will stand up for you. We're approaching our 23rd wedding anniversary.

We have a serious problem in the black community with lack of critical thinking and logic! We let our emotions get the best of us over nonsense! Before the Oscars, Jada said she didn’t ‘give two craps’ what people think of her bald head. Chris Rock deserves a lot more than just a small apology ! This is ridiculous!
