EMBARRASSED TO BE A VIRGIN / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: I was wondering how you knew that you were called to be single and a Pastor. The reason I ask is because you did a podcast a while ago on the desires of the heart. It made me think, "Am I called to be a single Pastor? Is it God’s desire or just my desire?" I am a 44 year old virgin. The reason I say that is because I’m still embarrassed about it, and I don’t tell anyone. I know I shouldn’t be embarrassed, but I am. It makes me wonder if I will embrace it or just get married someday.

I was at the doctor's office once and the doctor couldn't believe it when he found out I was a virgin. He was like: "you never had sex......in your life?". I said no and I'm not the least bit embarrassed about it. Just obey God's Word and don't be concerned with what the world thinks.

Thank you, Pastor Bob. I'm sharing this rather private information in hopes it'll help someone else. I wish I could go back in time, long ago and chosen not to have had s-x at such a young age and waited until I was married. I didn't get pregnant or get some sort of VD, but after the fact, all of a sudden I had a reputation at school (when I didn't have one at all) and was called all sorts of horrible names. It messed my mind up pretty bad. I wanted to fit in so badly and be accepted. Now at 55 and have been a Christian for around 25 years I'm finally learning the only ONE I need or want acceptance from is my Lord and Savior, JESUS. God bless you sir!!

That's beautiful words, indeed Jesus truly does accept us, but yeah I can relate I was 14 years old to 17 years old sexually active, then stopped 18 to 26 years old then did sexual things, then 30 years old or more now 36 years old 5 to 6 years celebate never got pregnant, thank you Jesus because it would have been tough. I to pray to Jesus thank you for keeping me, but that sense of never being able to take back what I gave. Our bodies truly do belong to Jesus 😊❤Jess

I had my own temptations as a Christian in my 20's though thank God, I never gave in. Being a virgin is nothing to be ashamed about.

I have not had much “experience” most of my life either, if you know what I mean. I’m currently 28. I don’t know why it matters so much to the world whether or not you’re a virgin, or being called a loser if you are one… Like, why does it matter? Who cares who does what in the bedroom? I see a lot of podcasts of women looking for what they call “High-Value Men”. One of the qualities they refer to in a high-value man is they choose to be celibate because this shows they have a lot of self-control. In doing so, we show we are self-disciplined and are able to focus on what other things are to be taken care of, and the we are not going to have a wandering eye of lust. This also shows we will be looking for a “High-value Woman”. I’m 60 and still a virgin by my choice and I’m still looking for a high-value woman, but if God chooses for me to remain single until He takes me home or He comes again I’m good with all these possibilities. See, women are looking high-value men, but don’t just settle look for a high-value woman. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

As much as I thought I wanted to be married and sexually active, it never happened and by now I'm fine with that. It just wasn't meant to be and in hindsight it's better this way. And I'm a senior citizen.

Please those that have given there virginity you can be forgiven, Jesus sees you as if you had never done the sin. I want to wait till marriage indeed as a 36 years old single I have stayed celebate for 5 years or more

I personally would congratulate anyone who has had courage to be a virgin. But I understand you may think, il be inexperienced? ❤Man or woman I am proud of you. Those that aren't a virgin like me, I'd love to be that, but we as non virgin can be redeemed in that. 😊😊😢😢It's sad we give ourselves away. Marriage is for most, celebacy I believe is the minority.
