Important context for that Lakers-Pistons game: The Pistons wild score and then just idly hold the ball unless someone snatched it off them. This is why the shot clock now exists.

1:14 Even worse, not only was that the worst of the three-point era, but it was the worst of the entire shot clock era.

In fairness to the 19-18 game, it did take place before the shot clock, and both team were intentionally stalling to the point of absurdity.

A lot of funny things happened that series. LBJ scoring 8 points and getting owned by Barea 😂

I love this because LBJ and Wade got ridiculed and shamed for this but if Kobe or MJ would have done it, it would have been "mamba mentality" or just being competitive. Always a double standard for Lebron.

Jordan retired but also the Bulls lost their head coach along with Pippen, Rodman & even Steve Kerr…. Thats not comparable to just Lebron leaving the Cavs at all

Tyrone Corbin is especially funny when you find he was only a cav for 86 games before being traded again.

*I will get some hate for bringing this up but...* After Jordan's 1st retirement from the 1993 57-25 Bulls, the Pippen led 1994 Bulls went 55-27, just 2 wins less. They were literally *one game away* from making the ECF again but lost in game 7 to the Knicks. After Jordan's 2nd retirement, starters Pippen, Rodman, Longley, and bench shooter Kerr as well as Phil Jackson also left the Bulls. Jordan is still the GOAT though. 🔥
@halloweenfan158
@halloweenfan158 Жыл бұрын
They all left the bulls tho because Jerry Krause told Phil this was his last season and none of the team wanted to play without Phil. It’s also why Jordan retired
@easeman8732
@easeman8732 Жыл бұрын
For context with the 98-99 Bulls, A LOT of people were gone from the previous year besides Jordan. No Pip, no Rodman, Phil left, among others. The players left from the 98 title team were Toni Kukoc, Ron Harper, Randy Brown, Dickey Simpkins, Bill Wennington, Keith Booth and Rusty LaRue. Not exactly a great squad.

Still having some tough years to be honest. Can't catch a break. It's like the franchise took a loan on that era and is still paying it off.

For pt. 2 11-12 season D Rose was I believe 28 consecutive straight freethrows in the 4th quarter and when that statistic was shown on screen. Rose went on to miss the two freethrows against the Heat at a crucial moment. Still my fave player regardless this just burned in my memory

The lowest scoring game is the reason for the invention of the shot clock. The Pistons literally spent the entire game trying to run out the clock, because they knew they would get their ass handed to them in a fair game.

2:25 "Maybe it's because their main man had some embarrassing stats too" The embarrassing stats in question: 33 Points and 17 Rebounds from a shooting guard. I'm this close to making a channel and highlighting all the amazing games Harden played in Houston where if he had any competent teammates he would've won by a large margin but still ended up losing cause he was playing with millionaire LA fitness players
