I have a Bull grill, and also live in a relatively "saltwater environment" near the Atlantic Ocean... one thing I will say is that the threaded inserts they used inside the grill for ease of assembly/construction are not rustproof stainless steel. I replaced my gas valves this year and those inserts were so rusty... no way they were coming apart. Rusted SOLID. Stripped many of the screws trying to get it apart. And they do bleed rust down from the screw heads. Love the grill, don't get me wrong, just that if you are like me and live near the ocean... there are points of concern. Maybe my grill is older and they have changed to a different style of insert... Also, when it rains, a LOT of water gets inside the large opening at back of the lid when It's closed. I have to empty an overflowing catch tray after it rains.

The reason I'm here looking at this grill comparo is because I bought a 5 burner Blaze six years ago..... Solid materials for sure, but the burner flame is the most uneven flame I have ever had on a gas grill, quite frankly it's hard to believe how different the heat output can be within the single length of a burner. I will also add that I am a fanatic in keeping my burners and sear diverters clean, and yes I did the review and purchase at BBQ Guys.

Great review and love the channel! How does the napoleon prestige pro compare to the Blaze LTE premium with regards to flare ups and even cooking? Does the napoleon have a stainless steel hood inner liner or is it porcelain enameled/painted? And also the heat/wind deflector on the napoleon, is it stainless or painted? Does the Blaze have a lot lower height to the hood and Rotisserie spit rod? And do you know how much if it does? If so does it make a big difference if one were to cook a turkey on it or even just trying to put drip pan potatoes underneath? Or in general cooking does it not do as good not having as much air space around the food to create a more oven like environment? Does the napoleon's cast aluminum tub hold up better than the Blaze's in the long term in your opinion? The napoleon knobs feel like there is quite a bit of slack in them compared to the Broil kings knobs; how do the Blaze ones feel in this regard? Not sure which one to go with. I really like the fact that you can order the Blaze in a marine version and get all 316L stainless steel. Thanks.

Good question! You do not need to be plugged in to ignite the main and side burner. Plugging in only gets you the lights on your knobs and the lights in the hood.

Who wants gas grill? The thought of filling 5gal lpg is deal killer. There’s of course hardline connection to utility CNG or LPG, if you have hardline plumbed to your patio/grilling area. Many of us lack utility CNG and we personally discarded our 500gal LPG tanks in favor of solar and electric appliances, heating etc. When it came down to outdoor kitchen, we followed a neighbours recommendation, a Twin Eagles pellet grill. Lights automatically, feeds hopper automatically, maintains programmed temp like an oven and it connects to our wi-if alerting me when temp probes reach selected temps. So much cleaner than gas grill and the bbq results are spectacular, even for someone like me that lacks ANY cooking skills 😂

What I'm researching is to upgrade my Weber Summit 400 series .. I must have an infrared burner for real searing. Also if I can't get parts or the parts are insanely expensive the grill is completely useless! Lastly, I want the grill to be evenly heated everywhere .. someone telling me it is doesn't mean a thing I want to see some temperature measurements. Cold spots on a grill will drive you nuts about as much as poor searing.
@DJaquithFL3 жыл бұрын
I'm kind of liking that Coyote. Frankly I kind of like the idea of all the burners being infrared you can lower the temperature in 10 seconds leaving the top open. You made some comment about infrared making your whole grill hot .. okay well 10 seconds solution. As long as I can make a burner cooler it works because the others I can't make any hotter which fails. The thought of using a side infrared burner while I'm trying to cook at minimum four or five steaks it would be a cooking circus. Instead let me get my grill up to 700° for a short period of time and then down to 500°-550° and I'm in heaven.

As a Canadian who’s owned the Weber summit s470 and a Napoleon pro 500 srib you’ve just earned my total respect. Both were outstanding grills. I have nothing to complain about either. I was just shocked you listed a Canadian grill as the top in its category. That tells me you’re talking only the truth. That side infrared ceramic searing station is by far a game changer for gas grills. It does not disappoint. I was sceptical at first but once I mastered it it was game over. Such a useful addition to a grill. Now that being said my Napoleon was just destroyed by a crazy wind storm in May in Quebec Canada. I’m now shopping for a kamado joe classic 2 because after always having a gas grill I’m looking for more grilling options such as smoking, slow cooking etc. To all Americans please please don’t hesitate to look at and consider a napoleon grill. You won’t lose your man badge going with a Canadian grill 😊. Napoleon’s warranty is one of if not the best out there. Love your channel keep it up eh!

Whenever I have a burner issue I know what to do, take it out and give it a whack then out comes the spider.
