Embossing Folder Techniques- Letterpress and Direct-To-Paper

Today, I shared two fun techniques using Embossing Folders! Letterpress is an easy way to add color to the recessed areas of your card stock while the raised parts stay the original color of your card stock. And this direct to paper technique allows you to easily add color to just the raised areas of your embossed image.

Ha ha ha I will never look at embossing with embossing folders in the same way again… mammograms ouch! You do beautiful work Miss Gina K. Just had my first mammogram yesterday and it made me chuckle when you said it reminded you of embossing . The enormous crack you get when your embossing folder leaves the back of machine always reminds me of the noise I heard when I broke my hip . I always winch when I hear it !

She used Kraft ink & white card stock for the letterpress card. The embossing folder is the Tapestry one (there might be an additional word in the name of the EF, but it definitely includes “Tapestry”). So beautiful!!’

When you force such a thick stack through, how do you keep your folder from tearing through the cardstock? Mine tears it everytime.

Beautiful cards, but I'm wondering why ephemera always comes with white edges. I've been making cards for years and I've never liked the white edges after you die cut either. I always end up fussy cutting. I must be one of the only ones cuz I never hear anyone else talking about it. Love that watercolor paper going to surely get that.

I got a new stamp set with 2 cute honeybees, washed them and put them on my drying mat, did some dishes and they disappeared. I look everywhere, I think they went down the drain. Sad, they were the only reason I bought the stamps for. Wonder if I get ahold of the company if I can buy just the bees?

Please help. I have tried at times with folders and it wouldn’t go through with the different plates or goes through too easy with the plate. I ran into a massive problem with the rubber shim. It curled around the top wheel and had to take whole machine apart and destroyed my rubber mat in process. Any advice please
