I LOVE your application videos because they encourage me to keep trying for satisfying results with a product if I miss the mark the first or second time. I would say in my experience, there are very few products that don’t agree with my hair. Different products yield different results, but over the years, I’ve learned how to better manage my expectations of the final result from how products apply. TFS!💖

Reminds me of what I’m missing from my Ecostyle gel wash n go days. My application method was a near identical match to yours. The only difference is that I applied it in much smaller sections to ensure I had great access to the roots. I enjoyed the crunch and how it laid my roots down. Though I would use a “leave-in” underneath to reduce the crunch sometimes. I got incredible definition and elongation. I new nothing about shrinkage. It gave me what I needed because where I put it is where my hair stayed. Now I know I can have similar results with quality ingredients! Just what I’ve been searching for! TYSM 💖🥰 SN: I’m curious as to how it would apply over mousse for a slicked back style or twist out. The eco styler gel was a truly versatile product, just not ingredient friendly.

Hi Abena! Y'all this woman is the truth! I watched a bunch of her videos from her website. They are detailed and you learn so much. Thank you Abena for sharing your knowledge of how to have defined curls! I would love for you to do my hair one day.

My hair is almost identical to yours in texture and length and I just did a wash n go today for the first time in many years and I wish I had saw this video first because I'm already having some problems with how it looks now that it's dried, lol. Thanks for the techniques as I will try it next time because my goal is to be able to wear my hair for at least a week with it look as fresh and as fly as your hair on day one!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I have yet to have a wash n go last 14 days. My scalp gets itchy after 6 days. Your hair has gotten so long, great job retaining your length!

Thank you darling! My scalp experienced more buildup before I switched shampoos years ago. What are you using to cleanse your hair and scalp?
@joybanks49744 жыл бұрын
@@EmbraceNaturalBeauty I use 1 Tablespoon of African black soap mixed with 1 cup of Ambunu gel and 1 Tablespoon of Olive oil. Ambunu is an herb, a natural humectant that produces slippery mucilage when added to hot water. My hair texture is 3c-4a, low porosity.

Your hair is simply amazing! It looks so healthy and lovely. I can't even imagine a 14 day wash and go and still looking like that. My hair is long (and about 3c/4a) but it shrinks like crazy. Mine would have to be to my feet and still shrink above my shoulders.
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty4 жыл бұрын
Thank you darling! I’ve gone 14 days with various products on occasion, but what makes this product different is the hair does not expand much, so the way the curls appear on day 2 is pretty much the way they will be until it gets wet which loosens the hold. Some of my clients experience more hang time when I style their hair with this product so I would be curious to know your experience if you choose to try it.
@PhoenixEchoesAudio4 жыл бұрын
Do you think low porosity heads should manage down their expectations a bit for this product? It came out really well for you! I'm 3c/4a low porosity...and my hair fluffs up more than I care to have it. I wonder how it would work for me...I've had "DON'T get product close to your SCALP" beaten into my head that I end up with puffy roots from day one 😑
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty4 жыл бұрын
That's a really good question that caused me much thought. I emphasized the roots because that is what I have experienced with myself and my clients. However, a few of the clients who love and request this product the most have low porosity hair. Because of the definition and longevity of the washngo I achieve on their hair using this product the puffy roots are a non issue for them. If you choose to try this product, start with the smallest size they have, it should be enough to style your hair once or even twice if you do not go too heavy with the amounts you use.

What is it like washing this out? I hate when I wash out a gel in the shower & my BODY is sticky from the gel, requiring me to almost scrub my skin off to remove it.

How do you maintain your hair at night ?

Do u prefer this over UFD curly magic and Icreate hold.
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I enjoy the ease of application that UFD and I Create Hold can accomplish on my hair and would love to use just those two products to style my clients hair. However, the majority of my clients have required more product layering on top of UFD and ICH. Depending on the condition and expectations of my clients, I have had wonderful outcomes with the product combination I shared in this video.

You are so welcome! Discipline seems so serious as though it's a lot of hard work. I encourage you to "keep it simple" and consistent. Cleanse, Condition and style your hair weekly or bi weekly, and get your ends trimmed by a professional who specializes in natural hair. Be blessed!

Beautiful results like always! You know how much I love my Earthtones Naturals for years! Glad you revisited the Earththones Naturals gelly but the Max! The original gelly is still a staple in my house. Will give the Max a try...
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty4 жыл бұрын
Awww Thank you Nathalie! Yes, I liked the original for my clients but it was hit or miss. I was happy to receive notification when Susan, Earthtones Naturals creator/founder did a presentation explaining some of the best ways to use the original and introduced the Max extreme hold version to do beyond its capabilities. I like having options for my clients. Keep posted when you try it yourself.

I have the same issue with puffy roots all the time, I had started to use bobby pins to keep my roots down but the my hair at the root would be too flat. I have low porosity hair so I guess I just have to work harder at really smoothing products in like you do.
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty4 жыл бұрын
You touched upon a very important point, that you were able to get flat roots when you used a bobby pin to hold it down. The position the hair is in when it's wet is the position it maintains when it dries. The product, or something holding it down until it dries will help keep it from fluffing up. Sitting under a dryer helps to maintain definition more than air drying because the hair gets to set quicker. Also, keeping my hair twisted until I am ready to style it and smoothing the styling product all help with minimizing frizz and puffy roots!
@brittanyb84904 жыл бұрын
@@EmbraceNaturalBeauty yes I did start to do that twisting my hair until I'm ready to add product and then loosley twisting it back up when I'm done a section. I even started using gloves just to get through my hair better. That has helped with maintaing moisture but I dont' know whenever I do my hair and I look at it it's like my hair is so much more curly but because of my low porosity it's so hard to maintain moisture level and combat frizz but then I can't put too much product on my hair because it will flake lol. It's just hard to find the balacne

Thanks for the detailed explanation about this product. I’ve never used this one only the other Earthtone gel. Lately I’ve been using a lot of cream stylers to avoid the crunch. I may try this one. I can definitely see the learning curve with application. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing your next video. By the way your hair is beautiful !!! 😘

Wow! Your hair came out excellent! Roots might get smoother (less poofy, cuz they actually look really smooth) if applied soaking wet, then clip them or wrap them with a silk roller that folds over with the wire. I use them on my roots and even on my ends. On my ends to curl them and at the roots to smooth them.

Can I say how refreshing to see someone like you on KZbin because I get put off by the negative hair vloggers who yap super loud and have distracting loud music edited into their videos .
