Although I grew up in the 80s and we did it too, some would drink and smoke as young as 8-10 yrs. European culture is much different to US culture growing up and nowhere near as strict

I grew up in a village it was down the fields drinking for us. For me it was back in the 1990’s and we used to drink Mad Dog 20/20, Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds was a fortified American wine that came in a blue label 13% and red labelled 17%. I remember it fondly and managed to find somewhere you can still import it from. Paid £15 for a bottle, it used to be £2 in the 1990’s. But thought I would try it for nostalgia. Absolutely disgusting cheap crap. It’s to wine what white lightning is to cider.

Alot of us in the UK (me included) started drinking around 12-13 and obviously you can't do it at home with parents about so you'd just wander in public, maybe sit at a park, bench, carpark etc.

Every year in the U.K. we have Red Nose Day and we raise money for charity for U.K. and abroad. There was a very funny sketch in 2011. I know James Corden has some haters but it was from this sketch he got the idea for carpool karaoke. His character Smithy from Gavin and Stacey. “ Smithy to the rescue “ Red Nose Day is in crisis and they call on Smithy to help. There are lots of A list and B list celebrities who all participated in this sketch and it would be interesting to see who you may know and again, also see where he got his ideas and this was in 2011. Cheers dudes ! Keep up the good work.
