Noel wrote this tune when he stopped taking drugs in late 1998 and was having panic attacks as a result of it.

I don't know if any else gets this, maybe I'm late to the party, but the end of this reminds me so much of many Stone Roses endings where it becomes totally instrumental for almost as long as the actual standard part of the song. I've never thought of this before, but just realized after watching one of your Stone Roses reactions!!! Thanks guys, great reaction. Can't wait for the next one!!!

Liam is saying "people who do runners from knocking shops". In English slang to 'do a runner' is to run away. A 'knocking shop' is a brothel. I can only assume that he's talking about people running away from a brothel without paying.

U guys see why Oasis is my fav band. They can rock out, slow it down, go psychedelic, etc. The one thing u guys said about them that I totally agree w is “groove”. They are the “groovin-est” band out there, IMHO……Also, pay attention to Whitey on the drums. He’s a great drummer. When I think of tunes like this one, Supersonic, Columbia, Roll w It and many, many others I hear Whitey’s drum laying down the foundation. Good stuff, boys! Love the channel.

Please check out The smiths and The Stone Roses. Oasis were inspired by both bands (as well as The Beatles) and they are just great. Smiths: There is a light that never goes out, This Charming Man, How soon is now, Bigmouth Strikes Again. Roses: She Bangs the drums, Waterfall, I am the resurrection, fools gold, Sally cinnamon, I wanna be adored, made of stone.

G-mex video is bloody excellent, but at the time it didn't work being in the crowd. The sound didn't seem to cut through like at earl's court. Not sure what was going on. Just didn't really get into that gig. Was the same watching the verve there 10 years later. Mind you, how many train stations have good acoustics? But yes, G-mex video should be watched as Liam was outstanding that night.
