One of Noel’s greatest EVER tunes - and that is saying something - is one of his solo tunes called ‘dead in the water’ - a truly incredible song that you will LOVE!

Yep! Also with his solo venture I think "the death of you and me", "wanna live in a dream, with my record machine" and the version of "everybody's on the run" with the French girls are amazing!

You probably won’t see this as it’s a 3 year old post. Oasis were playing in LA and predictably Liam pissed off Noel, so Noel, drunk and coc’d up got on a plane and went to San Fran, met a woman, who had no idea who he was, spent the evening and night with him and talked sense to him, the tour manager tracked him down via credit card receipts brought him back to the tour. Noel doesn't remember her name or what happened, only that she saved Oasis on that tour. This is a song about her.
@madmackem88223 жыл бұрын
If you lads like the acoustic stuff noel dose a song called half the world away. It was the theme song to a really popular comedy show call the Royal family about a family living in Manchester. And again if you love noel you will love little by little. Either the 2005 City of Manchester stadium or the High flying birds version
@proo5603 жыл бұрын
Also, something that you’ll realise when you get a little deeper into this journey, is that Noel is one of the greatest song writers of all time. Noel’s top 10,20,30 songs - that he has written - can stand up to Anyone’s, IMO.

That was the excuse at the time but Noel found out Liam didn’t like doing acoustic and pulled out
@ryanjacobson58983 жыл бұрын
It's all pretty complicated and hard to tell what the truth is. Chances are all rumors around it are at least true in part. We know Liam was diagnosed with laryngitis in 1996 so there's a good chance his throat was suffering. Saying he didn't want to do it because it's acoustic could have been the excuse he used with somebody because he was insecure about his struggling throat. Still, could have done without the heckling Noel.

En la primera gira de Oasis en EEUU, en 1994, Noel se enoja y abandona la banda y va a pasar una noche a Las Vegas, donde conoce a una misteriosa mujer que supuestamente le convence de volver a la banda. Despues de eso Noel compone tres fabulosas canciones, las 3 bien melancólicas: It's Good To Be Free, Half The World Away y Talk Tonight
@chrismcintosh69643 жыл бұрын

Also - yes it was 1994. The band had played a show at whiskey a go go and they’d got hold of some crystal meth and were all completely spannered. anyway the gig was a total shambles and you can find it on youtube. Noel was unimpressed with everyone’s unprofessionalism and disappeared for a few days and stayed with some groupie he’d met in San Francisco - she says he was distraught because he thought theyd fucked it and blown their chance. He claims now he cant even remember her name or face. Anyway, whilst with her he wrote ‘Talk Tonight’ and ‘Half the world Away’ both of which he sung on the records and you should check out......ps Liam thinks they’re both shite because he’s not on them

Liam was at the balcony smoking (while having sore throat)... It's a pity, as Liam was absent and the band could give a heavily appraised performance. The entire performance is good, though. Liam gave a GREAT performance in mtv unplugged show in 2019 at Hull, in which you can find many diamonds (for reaction), like One of us, Once from his solo career, but also Stand by me and Sad Song from previous Oasis works . The problem with Oasis is that they have been heavily criticized by previous generation artists, as Phil Collins, Gene Simmons, George Harrison (who has said that Liam is out of tone and that the band didn't move their music one step forward) and this criticism has been accepted by the press. So, IN ADVANCE no one expected something important from Oasis, despite the fact that they defined an era, they have a huge fan basis (not only in Great Britain) and all their works, even when they were not at their best, e.g. in 2002, have a lot of good stuff, like stop crying your hear out which was NOT critically acclaimed and born on a different cloud. The live performance of the last one in 2002 tour can be used for reaction. For example, the song in the japan live performance is tremendous. But, the time for "Fade in out" in GMEX (or New York ballroom) has come!!!!!!!!!!! I see this suggestion in the comments of every reaction video. I like your comments during your reactions!
