I LOVE your two gorgeous dogs. I love being in my home, and being thankful for all I have. I have become a recluse, and only go out of my rural home to walk my dog, or take rubbish to the end of the lane. I am happy doing that, and feel so much safer staying in my little world. xxx

The dark quiet of winter is far more appealing to me in my later years. This has been a very hard year health wise; I lost my sister who lived with me, my husband had a difficult surgery resulting in a stroke and loss of half his vision, and I was unwell too. But through it all our Lord was with us, and our relationship with him and our marriage deepened and enriched. This winter will be quiet and lovely and lit by His light. Come Lord Jesus.

Yes! What you said!! Summer is in your face, loud, hot, everyone rushing around and out and about. It's my least favorite. I thought I was the only one who felt that way until I watch another KZbin video of a couple who live on an island North of Sweden and currently, they are in 4 months of darkness and they love it! They say Summer there is exhausting because it's 4 months of light. Nothing like that here in Michigan but it is irritating on the senses. Hard to explain to those that absolutely love Summer

Bless you for doing yhay My oldest a daughter moved away about 6 weeks ago and didn't tell me where she moved two . The biggest hurt is I cannot see my 2 precious geandaugh5ers One I babysat and homeschooled [10 years old] and the new little one 15 months old She wants nothing to do with our Lord . I pray for them daily . It is especially difficult during this holiday season to not inow where they are . I watched my older grandaugh5er since she was 8 weeks old Until 3 years ago My daughter will iccassionally pop in but I always knew where they were I put them in Our Heavenly Father's living hands I miss them terribly

Thanks as always for your video. I have been subscribed for at least 2 years. I ask for your prayers as I just feel alone and overwhelmed. My son has been fighting addiction and right now he is in jail and looks like he will be for some time. I love the Lord with all I have and study God's Word everyday. I know that He is in control and that if my son is one of His elect, my son has his home in heaven. I do find peace in that truth. God is sovereign and in my deepest heart, I know I am never truly alone. I also know that God hears and answers prayers and I would appreciate prayers for my son and for me. Blessed feast of Christmas! I don't know why, but I feel compelled to leave you a comment. I first saw your videos, probably 6 years ago. My husband and I came from non-denominational backgrounds and found ourselves led into the messianic world for 7 years. Ultimately, God brought us out of that and to Orthodox Christianity, and honestly, it was like the truth searching, the digging was towards this end. Glory to God. The answer to the feasts, the scriptures, the tradition. The root of the ancient church and the faith of the Apostles. It might be something you'd be interested looking in to and even if it is not, be blessed and have a very Happy New Year! By the way, the ancient church knew when Christ was born because they knew when he was conceived. The Church celebrates the feast of the Annunciation March 25, 9 months before Christmas. Wonderful, helpful video. Very similar to the life that Masae and I have at our Utah cabin over Palisade Lake. 2 malamute dogs we dogsled in the winter, 11 cats, a mountain full of wildlife who are our neighbors and friends, big garden with fresh food year-round, and daily hikes and runs in the mountains. The "real life." Grateful and fortunate. We now try to rescue my Afghan interpreters/military battle buddies, and as we bring them out we bring them here and they are getting a taste of that life as well.
