Hands down best tip for fresh milled sourdough bread is mixing ingredients except salt, letting it rest covered for at least 30 min (ideally an hour), and then proceeding to knead. It revolutionzed my fully fresh milled sourdough. I get an excellent rise for a whole grain sourdough bread (never as high as all purpose granted). Happy milling!

Your videos are always so beautiful. I look forward to them. I’m sure there are plenty of comments on your poor gallbladder, but here is another one with hopes it could help. I had no idea where my gallbladder was or what it did…until it wasn’t doing what it was supposed to! After being doubled over in pain I looked up my symptoms and figured out what it was. Tried everything I knew to do to keep it, but ultimately had to have it removed when it had done all it could do for me. It seems to be a very common issue in white females around 40 years old, I found. Who knew? The ONE thing I found that could give me relief mid symptoms (pain), was a tincture called Breakstone. Using that I could get relief within a minute or two and could be symptom free for several more months. When my gallbladder finally was so packed with stones that nothing but surgery (my one and only surgery in all my life) would cure, then it was just ZERO fat, if I even ate at all. How you are managing whilst mothering 5 children, running a house, KZbin channel and all of your fabulous baking, I have no idea but I salute you! You are an incredible woman.

I meant to reply last Monday when I saw your video and I have been busy. For your bread, if you're looking for a fluffier whole wheat bread, look into using a dough enhancer. I have been buying wheat and grinding it for years and I have good results with using a dough enhancer or substituting some of the flour in the recipe with 3/4 cup of flour from the store. Disclaimer: I don't make bread as much as I use to.

You should check out Dr Eric Bergs video on gallstones. He recommends bile salts. Also since gallbladder is on right side you should apply castor oil compresses on the gallbladder area..as castor oil penetrates the skin deeply and breaks up any lumps, bumps, stones etc. I hope this helps you. Many blessings!

Hi! I’m so sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling well. It’s very common for light skinned people, mostly women, to have gallbladder issues. My entire family has suffered with it and many of the women have had it removed. My older sister and I have had great success with taking the supplement glutathione. It’s a master antioxidant that helps the liver and thus the gallbladder. Maybe after some personal research it could assist you as well. I hope you feel better soon 😊

You are such a beautiful soul! The way you talk to us and putting us at ease when we can't afford a grain mill or all the things. You always, always make me feel that it's okay and to just feed my family the healthiest I can and that's good enough. Eventually I'll get a grain mill. Have wanted one for about 3 years now, so it's on my list. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for making me feel like it's not the end of the world if I can't get a mill right this second. Some youtubers leave you feeling like you must do this or that or have this or that or you're not doing good enough. Also, I'm saying a prayer for that gall bladder. Hope it all heals quickly. Love you and God Bless

Highly recommend weighing your wheat berries for the exact number of grams you need for your recipe! Then no need to use the measuring cup. Since the fresh milled flour isn’t shelf stable, you won’t waste any that way.

I saw an acupuncturist who made me a special herb blend and it stopped the gall bladder attack in 5 minutes. If you want his information, please contact me. Also, he said the best fat to eat that doesn't stress the liver and gall bladder is extra virgin olive oil. Unfortunately, he did say dairy is hard on the gall bladder, but if you take the herb before it should help prevent a gall bladder attach.

Oh, Stephanie... you poor thing... ❤Having gall stone is horrible. I have had 'only' two births, but the pain of gall stones is SO much worse, because there isn't coming anything good out of it... I had my bladder removed 10 years ago, after 10 years of struggling with pain, espessially after the heavy food at Christmas. Got a new life after the surgery!! Btw, if you get them removed, remember to ask if you can have them with you home afterwards. A little bit gross, but as a home school teacher it is a fun thing to show the kids ;-) I woke up after the surgery with a small tube in my hand, containing three stones, and (some of) the kids at school where I teach found it SO cool to see them. They are the size of a small grape... ;-)

Karen R. Hurd. It's been thirteen years and I still have my gallbladder and haven't had an attack since. It took 6weeks of very modified eating but sooo worth it. The gallbladder has a purpose and when it's removed all the bad fats build up in our system causing heart disease and sooo much more .
