Join me as I share my unique journey of growing up as an Army brat, born in Japan while my dad was stationed there, and later living in South Korea!
In this video, I dive into the challenges and joys of navigating life in two vibrant cultures. From learning about local customs to the ups and downs of moving frequently, my experiences have shaped who I am today.
I'll reminisce about my favorite memories, and I'll talk about the struggles of belonging and finding community while constantly relocating.
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more stories from my adventures abroad.

I so Love your videos and i hope you continue making them 💗. In 1965/66 my dad was Stationed in thailand while he was in the air force he would almost never talk about his time there When he died I inherited a photo album that had a 118 photographs he took of his base and Taliland and a USO Show with Famous entertainers ... I'm 56 now and Love to talk to people about Things I saw and experienced when I was a kid . Please keep making your videos i Love them and you 😊

Hello Lana, I have followed you and your daughter for some time with your reactions. So I have transferred! It is interesting to hear of the fragments of your childhood that you remember. When you talk about "after the war", I am assuming that you mean the Korean war. I was born shortly after the second World War in London, England and there was destruction all around us (we called them "bomb sites"). We too had only an outside toilet and no bathroom but a tin bath in the kitchen, so can recognise much of what you mention. In those days we still had wartime rationing for food and much else. So different locations but much the same!

Hi Albert, yes… it was after the Korean War. I’m still very nervous and forget many details. I can’t imagine what you and your family went through during that time. Thank you for your support, I truly appreciate it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 😊❤🎄

I found you. Yay! Love your videos. We are the same age and child of a dad who escaped a the coal mines. In the 70’s I was a disco rat like you. I also retired last year. Seems we are on the same track.
