Yes this guy is annoying almost as if he is making fun but if he only knew.....there is no better high than the high you receive when you are drunk in the holy spirit. I grew up in a very strict and very prominent Pentecostal church, I am truly blessed. I think for a lot of people they feel that they need to change something about themselves before they can even face Jesus but the truth is He says come as you are for a reason. You come as you are and you lay your heart out on the table for him and in turn your life WILL change for the better, it does not matter the circumstances or what you have done, he has seen it all and he can fix all. We only fall so he can teach us to rise!

All begotten sons must offer thier lives for others. Its called self denial. No one else can die for YOUR inquity. If so then that person would be in hell forever FOR ME, that is the wages for my sin. And the passover isn't even a sin offering. Unfortunately, most dont understand the NT was corrupted. Thats why we were told to establish truth by 2 or 3 witnesses line upon line, HERE A LITTLE, THERE A LITTLE. Not all of it is true.
@gregorybezanson
@gregorybezanson 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry. Jewish law demands that witnesses giving testimony in a court cannot be accepted as eye witness testimony unless 2 or 3 persons totally are in agreement, especially if the death penalty is involved. This has nothing to do specifically with scripture itself. Scripture and prophecy was tested by whether a prophecy came to pass completely as foretold and usually Messengers of God writing Scripture did signs or miracles to show their authority and worthiness to be trusted. Here a little, there a little explains how to use everyday opportunities in life to teach points of truth to one's children a little at a time. It has nothing to do with proving the scriptures.

Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation. Pentacostles have another gospel.

James McCluskey their ”Holy Ghost” is the kundalini-spirit, that you also find in hinduism and New Age. It’s the serpent spirit (from Satan). It can perform wonders too, even Jesus acknowledged that - but He adds something very important, that most Pentecostals ignore: ”On that day many will say to me, ’did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” Matthew 7:22

Clearly you're not familiar with Galatians 5:22-29? It's very clearly stated that they also believe the Holy Ghost is able to heal the sick, and have an actual relationship with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. The Pharisees couldn't understand Jesus because they were too caught up in their doctrine and traditions. Even today, we have Christians like yourself who are missing out on Christ's message and continue turning people (the Gentiles and unsaved) away from being saved. I pray for you my brother, to receive the true Holy Spirit that gives you joy, patience, kindness, self-control, etc. God's Word is the only doctrine a Christian needs.

God is to be praised, not the pentecostal denomination. I grew up Pentecostal. Instead of simply waiting for new revelation, I opened God's sure Revelation (i.e., the Bible) and come to Him in humility to show me His truth according to His Word, not according to what man said. That led to my salvation and untangling some of the wrong things I learned as a Pentecostal. When you are a "[insert denomination]" before you are a Christian, you'll follow the mistakes of your denomination. Now I praise God for a relationship with Him like I never had before. The glory is His, not man's. If you don't think pentecostals can make mistakes, think about you being baptized more than once. I think that says a lot about Pentecostalism.

As one who was raised Mormon (now atheist), I was twice invited to play bagpipes at a Pentecostal church. I think the term "stark terror" best describes my experience. On both occasions I quietly got down on the floor during the very lengthy prayer and crept out on all fours, closed the door, and RAN for three blocks to get away! The second of these times I weighed~ 319lbs due to medications. It must be interesting to see a fat bagpiper run three blocks through deep snow.

@@SallyM-7777 In 1979, in the spring of my 8th grade year, I read, at a teacher's request, a book on science (a biography of the Russian chemist D. Mendeleev). I almost immediately saw a confrontation between science and Mormonism. After 1 1/2 years of soul-searching, studying, and praying, I felt science to be the most correct. Thus, starting in that spring, I became an agnostic -which I was for 37 years. In February of 2016, I read Professor Laurence Krauss' book, "A Universe From Nothing" and realized my agnostic views are invalid. So I became an atheist.

A couple of other points I add. In the fall of 08' I had another run-in with my illness -manic-depression. I swallowed poison and three weeks later rode a bike to my hometown intending to starve to death. Both times I was saved by kind folks. So in the spring of 09' I looked up "agnostism" on ebay and found the name "Robert Green Ingersoll" -"The Great Agnostic". Ingersoll, in his 5th rebuttal against Rev. Herman Talmadge, quoted many verses from the Bible. I found it hard to believe these things were in there, so I looked up perhaps 2/3 of them. This "poisoned" me against the Bible. Then, in 2012, I read Charles Darwin's "Origin Of Species" and "Descent of Man". These two paved the way to atheism.

I believe he was talking about when people are saints gathered and when there is an unbeliever in the church. As “you would appear mad”, but Paul says we should speak in tongues and pray with our minds so that both our spirit and mind would be edified. So basically you can speak in tongues on your own and in church to edify your self but he says it is better to prophesy to edify the entire church not just your self. 1 Corinthians 14:4. It isn't obviously speaking in other languages! Didn't Paul state: 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men,but unto God for no man understandeth him ; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Now notice it says NO man understands, he's not speaking to man but specifically to God, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. These are not other languages but no man understands him only God. We must ask God for understanding and wisdom and this scripture is very specific in stating no man understands because you're speaking to God. However, people choose to believe what they want.

The Pentecostal experience is not all about "speaking in tongues". However "speaking in tongues" is definitely a part of it. Paul, in 1Corinthians 14:18 said, "I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;", also in 14:39 he said, "Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to forbid to speak with tongues.". Some of the comments against tongues were spoken in ignorance. Ignorance is not bad, unless one chooses to remain that way. I am a Pentecostal Christian and I have been on both sides and encourage everyone when speaking about such things, if you don't believe a certain way, please be gracious and kind in your remarks because your "tongues" are revealing something about yourself when spoken harshly. I strongly encourage you to be careful when speaking concerning the Holy Spirit

The term Pentecost comes from the Greek Πεντηκοστή (Pentēkostē), meaning "fiftieth". It refers to the Jewish festival of Shavuot. It doesn't have anything to do with the Holy Spirit filling the Apostles. It was just a starting day for the Church movement. Unfortunately, another misunderstanding of the Scripture. The Holy Spirit is in the word of God. Which is the Bible. The Holy Spirit filled those in the early Church when the apostles, and disciples went into the World to seek and save the lost. If you want to know the truth about the Holy Spirit, who He was for, read John 16. The language they speak in is utter gibberish. There is not a tongue for speaking to God, all tongues speak to God. Hearing is not so deaf that He doesn't understand all languages. At 14:30 the interviewer hurts his ankle. He ask's a member of this Pentecostal Church to pray for healing on his ankle. A few seconds later the interviewer starts walking his limping. Interesting! Yes, you have to be baptized to go to Heaven. Christ commanded it (Matthew 28, Mark 16), and He also said what it was for on the Day of Pentecost. It is not about the heart saving you, nor is it about outward expression of an inward change.

Unfortunately nothing here about the true message of grace of the Bible: that we have all sinned and need the living God to save us from sin and death. Nothing about repentance. Yes the pastor quoted John 3:16 but very vaguely. And made it an experiential thing. It’s sadly showing how people want to use the Holy Spirit to be blessed, filled, healed, speak in tongues etc. But hey, speaking in tongues cannot be a sign or guarantee for salvation. Also nothing in this video about how God’s Word being the living Word of God transforming your life into the image of Christ and sanctifying you, but in the Pentecostal fashion, it’s trying to convince you it’s your spiritual experience that matters… not good. At least, I’m glad they didn’t baptise him.

It's not like ours either. Our church, while it is an Assembly of God church (pentecostal) is not disorderly like that (The apostle Paul says everything in the church should be done in an orderly fashion). Also, nobody at our church lies on the floor rolling around, waving flags around, running around, and all that other weird stuff. I would be very suspicious of the Spirit at work in that place (Test the spirits as instructed by John). And it does not remind me of what Jesus might do, and it definitely does not look like what the apostles were said to be doing in the 1st century churches. Our Assembly of God church does its best to follow the pattern of the 1st century churches that Paul established, and does not add anything man-made or disorderly. But, we are still pentecostal and believe all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today, or, that they have been re-established as a witness to Christ in the end times.

Pentecostalism was started by a homosexual. Also you can't justify speaking in tongues by going back under law. Signs and wonders was before grace and grace is the new covenant. I was just shunned by a pentecostal church because I asked too many questions and was exposing the lie. I have been filled to overwhelming overflowing tears of joy and i didn't speak in tongues and the pastor pastor said i had to speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit in me already proved him wrong. One friend says you can't feel the Holy Spirit hahaha that's not up to you and even though I've been saved since I was 17 only decades later to experience His overflow. If you can learn to rightly divide then it's clear Signs and wonders are old testament. Even though some books are in the new testament the writers are describing what happened to them in the old testament. 85% of the Bible was written by Jews for Jews to Jews. Acts of the Apostles and there are no more Apostles.

Here is the problem with the Pentecostal church. They base everything on feelings...I do believe it is good to have emotion and feeling, Jesus even wept. But not too the point where it clouds your judgment and also not to the point where you are judging everyone else based on your experience. It is important to take God's word in context and not pull out sections to fit your philosophy or message. AS for tongues, you can be filled with the spirit without being "Forced" to speak in tongues. The evidence of the Holy Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit found in Gal 5. I have been in a Pentecostal church with people with raised hands, speaking in tongues, doing a halleluiah river dance down the church isle and then see that same person outside smoking a cigarette and cursing. God looks at the heart while man looks at outward appearances.1 Sam 16:7. And to all the false teachers who force people to bark like dogs and have freak experiences that causes a huge embarrassment to the Christian community as well as a laughing stock among the Muslims and Hindus....Read GAL 6:7 God will not be mocked.

Is there anyone that can help you understand the Word of God? I mean human. You can always ask God for wisdom and He is mire than willing to supply you with it without reprimand. James.

For years now I attend a moderated kind of Pentacostal church (not really called penracostal) and I nust say we are not so dogmatic on tongues or healing. It is good to he open to the Holy Spirit. I personally dont think we should make doctrines out of experiences but must focus on Gods Word rather than emotions or experiences. The Lord Jeaus must be the central focus

The PR video has a nice feeling. And if they have heard the real gospel - saved by faith in Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection - it is wonderful to see young and old find a relationship with God and be saved. But, that does not mean that everything within the pentacostal teachings is right, especially regarding the gift of speaking in tongues. It is justified to question the authenticity of the gift and whether and why it is given.

The singing/dancing is typical for any musical event, so there's no problem with it, if not the fact that it's taking place in what supposed to be a Church, but the gibberish-talk and epilepsy-attacks in otherwise healthy individuals can easily be quantified as demon-possession. Sure, the second reformation was a rebellion against the form of Protestantism that focused on the intellect and neglected the spiritual side of Christianity, but abandoning the intellect and systematic theology/practice for the sake of personal experience have clearly led those communities to the edge of madness.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on KZbin, which shows the real causes of Christian sects and atheism. The video reveals a prophecy about the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the end of the world. Watching this video will bring joy to all who sincerely seek God and will interest those who are not too lazy to think freely. - They left out the most important principle of pentecostalism: tithes ! - I cringed when I heard those little girls spew their brainwashed beliefs. And the little boy praying over Tavier. Instead of being a kid and having fun by discovering the world on his own, he is already brainwashed by those adults to become a preacher himself. - Speaking in tongues is not a real thing. It has nothing to do with God. It has to do with crazy. - Am I being judgemental ? Yes. Because some things need to be judged. Pentecostlism is not even a real religion. It's a religious scam, leading people away from what God is really about. Not to mention that it is in most cases all about the money and control. At least for the leaders of the church.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:15-23 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” Galatians 1:10 “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who brought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” Galatians 1:8-9 “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Mark 13:22-23 “For false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8 “…In flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,” Psalm 7:11 “God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day.” John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,” Romans 12:19 “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay”, says the Lord.” That “church” is a goat farm. Full of people who lack discernment. They need to read their Bibles! The Pentecostal/charismatic “churches” are doctrine of demons!! Repent and come to the Lord Jesus our God!

I dont want to come off harsh...but as a person that was born, educated & raised Pentecostal I found the content of this video vague and reflects a version of "Pentecost" that has become more of a mainstream pop-church. I loved to see the children praying however that was all I enjoyed. I am usually very open to seeing others interpretation of something I'm intimately familiar with however this is challenging. For example, when he said explosive growth in 1994 I was so confused because my church was founded in the late '70's and our Bishop established his church in the early '60 & that church was under an even more well established COGIC church which ALL was birth out of the 1906 Azusa street revival ... so explosive where? Explosion in which community? I say that because there has always been a strong connection & acceptance of the Pentecostal movement in the African American community and throughout the south & midwest. Why was there no mention of the history of the Pentecostal movement since 1906 (or did i miss it?) Also, how about understanding more truth as to why the religion wasn't so widely accepted back then & the persecution of the members, Another eye opening aspect of this version of the Pentecostal movement is their understanding of speaking in tounges or the lack of explanation ... no mention of it being a Holy language between God & the Holy Spirit within. Nor was there a mention of the 5 fold ministries of the church. Not sure how I felt about the way the precious little girl spoke in an unclear language 😟 To dig a little further, could there have been mention of Pentecostal practices that are deeply rooted in practices of African Spirituality, Hoodoo/Voodoo and even European pagan practices. Maybe my expectation for this video was too high, because the narrator was more light & whimsical ... but could we get a video that is more definitive of the roots of the Pentecostal movement?

I empathize with the missing mention of African roots and theological origin. Many if not most big churches are more about commercialization and evangelizing others. It gets to the point where certain schools of thought outnumber others, which prompts the others to redefine themselves to avoid stereotypes.
