It is possible to change the size of the lines throughout the curve. Simply change the 'radius' of the curve points and include a [Name attribute 'radius'] node in the shader. modifying the scale of the input lines in the [Instance on Points 'scale'] node.

Instead of set position for the random rotation, I multiplied a random Z value to the existing flattening rotation and got similar results that aside, amazing tutorial, thanks!

Hi! Thanks. It's very nice that you think about it and examine other ways for this. Please Make sure that it works for all the situations. like when your plane (Cloth) is not in xy plane. for example (if you are using a simple plane as cloth) change the rotation of your plane along x axis and apply the rotation, then draw the curve again. check if it works.

@@blenderpath Mhm yeah it does require me to adapt the axis depending... Maybe combining that with a normal node, to always get the right rotation... I'll try stuff! :)

Yes. it's better to use relative axes or vectors rather than global ones.

This is really both a good tutorial and a great result, thanks a lot. I do encounter an issue though, which is that the final result creates millions of vertices, thus taking too much of a toll on my computer/programm, leading Blender to shut down. Any trick on how to avoid that?

Thanks! Well.... based on this specific tutorial, you can apply this effect on curves. It depends on you how to make the curve. And in your case, maybe you can make some curves out of that logo and then apply the GN modifier over it.

Hi! sorry for the late responding. well in this this tutorial I made this effect based on a curve. you can draw any curve with the curve's drawing tool on your mesh and then apply this effect to it.

Hi! first I drew a curve on the surface (in 0:44) and then made the effect based on that curve. Actually it's enough to have a curve on your target surface (which there are multiple ways for it), then you can apply the effect to it.

Hi! You're welcome! Actually there is no divide node! That's the math node which is set to divide. When we search and type for example divide or multiply or ... , it automatically brings the math node and sets that to the specified mode.
