During this lecture, we pick up where we left off and continue into the second week of gestation. Zach gives a brief overview on the concept of implantation of the embryo, and continues with the bilaminar disc and how it will eventually form the trilaminar disc consisting of the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm! We also discuss the formation of the notochord and what it is specifically responsible for. It is truly unbelievable how we can form and develop into so much from one tiny cell, so let's learn everything we can on the fascinating process of embryogenesis. Hey bro, I’m a doctor and during my medical education, embryology was one of the less preferred classes because of its difficulty. One question about 4:30 you said that cells proliferate into the uterine wall by breaking through the zona pellucida, but I thought the blastocyst hatched before it implanted so we dont have a ZP anymore?
