“We have created man out of an extraction of clay (the origin of semen). Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Then of that sperm-drop We created a leech-like clot, then we made the clot into a lump (of flesh). Then We made that lump into bones, and We clothed those bones with flesh. Then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.” (Quran translation of 23:12-14).

Day 15-17 The notocord releases growth factors and makes the ectodermal cells to proliferate. The ectoderm thickens and forms the neural plate. The neural plate forms into neural folds and neural groove Neural crests cells form around the edges of the neural folds Neural tube is formed The neural tube has a cranial and caudal end The cranial part is anterior neural pore and caudal part is posterior neural pore The neural pore are still open before day 21 but close after that Folate makes the neural pores to close If it doesn't close you get Spinal bifida Around day 24 ant.neural pore closes and around day 26 post.neural pore closes. Vesiculation Cranial end of neural tube It has 3 vesicles 1.prosencephalon, mesencephalon, Rhombencephalon Primary vesicles are formed Prosencephalon>>telencephalon+diencephalon>>cerebrum Mesencephalon>>mesencephalon>>thalamus, dorsal thalamus Rhombencephalon>>metencephalon>>pons, cerebellum, medulla, spinal cord Neural crest differentiation. Become Melanocytes, chromaffin, enteric nervous system (submucosal plexus), dorsal root ganglion, layers of the brain, pia matter, arachnoid matter(leptomeninges). Caudal end of neural tube. Outer layer is marginal zone, middle layer is mattle zone then neural epithelial zone Alar plate is formed dorsally, ventrally the dorsal plate Inside of the plate is cerebral spinal fluid

I have to say, Just came across this video because I study this in Hebrew(from Israel), and I didn't understand shit and our teacher is fairly good at explaining but the way they switch from latin to hebrew make it super hard to understand where you at. so I searched an explanation of the development of the nervous system and came across this ( I am studying psychology so it's super hard for me to understand since I don't have a background in medicine), and my point is -- Ninja nerd, the way you teach is unbelievably good, I enjoy every second of this video and learnt so much from it while saying excited, This is some next level teaching, Thank you!
