I've always loved this song. You teach it very well, and have helped me improve my playing of it. Next on my list is Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, another one of my all time favorites. Thank you so much, glad I found you!

I worked this out the best I could 50+ years ago, huge Jefferson Airplane fan. The composer and artist of this classic is the amazing _Jorma Kaukonen_ , active still at 80+ years old. Heard and watched him play it more times than I can count. Good lesson!

Absolutely such a beautiful song to play thank you so much for this. Friends is such an important show to me so when I heard the end scence recently I was like "I need to learn this." And you really helped me understand how to play it a lot. At first I thought it was two guitars lmao. Much love ❤

Very nice. I've wanted to play this for a long time, but there's always more songs that had priority until now. If I could suggest a couple of advanced tunes I learned that would be great for your advanced tutorials, there's "Cannonball Rag" by Merle Travis, "Windy and Warm" by Chet Atkins, and "Deep River Blues" by Doc Watson.

Thanks Chris for putting theses together. I seem to be jumping from one song to the other before learning the whole lot. I’m bad for it. What’s your plans after these?
@SixStringFingerpicking5 жыл бұрын
It's a pleasure, we're all guilty of jumping around a bit I think. After the list is finished I'm going to take a little break from KZbin and work just on the website/my courses. But I will be back in full force in time, I want to come back with the best content I possibly can so I need to really give some thought as to what to do next. Let me know all your guitar problems and I'll create lessons around them.

@@JGHMusic Just saw your note. It's been a while since I watched this video, and I actually learned it many years ago from the Jorma Homespun video from the 90s. As far as detail of explanation, there is a lot of subtleties in this time. To walk through everything in detail could be an hour easily. Every phrase requires a good amount of attention and repetition. I still think the best way to learn it is slow the video down using the KZbin function, isolating one phrase, and practicing it quite a bit before going on. Rewind as necessary.
