Syllus Gitonga a bodaboda rider operating in Embu town while taking his child to school in the morning, saw a person collapse to the ground outside a supermarket in Embu town.
His lifesaving intuitions kicked in as he packed his motorbike and rushed to help the casualty was convulsing on the ground. Gitonga, who had undergone free first aid training offered by St John Ambulance to bodaboda riders in the area took charge of the incident immediately.
At the time, all other passerby suddenly ran away as the victim fell to the ground, but the rider rushed and conducted quick First Aid ABCs and stabilized the casualty. His action attracted jubilation from the crowd that mulled around him commending him for the job well done.
