Lari-Kinungi Road Accidents decoded and Lessons Learnt

St John Ambulance in Partnership with the Germany Corporation and Johanniter International Assistance conducted a road safety drill (Mock road accident) in Lari Kiambu County. The drill was conducted under well controlled environment with real accident vehicles placed at the scene and actors representing casualties. The simulation was done to test the level of preparedness in Kiambu County to respond effectively to an incident with mass causalities. It was noted that the hospitals along the Lari - Kinungi Blackspot on the Nairobi Nakuru highway are poorly equipped to respond and attend to such incidents. The report was shared with the Kiambu County government and NTSA for action.
