Yes. A collet chuck would be nice. But I need clearance for the bit to reach the graphite. The collect holder is too wide. My solution was to put the bit in the chuck. Not best but the graphite is easy to mill. For metal I would find a way to use a collet. Thanks for stopping by! Nice to have a comment on an old video!

Do you mean on the lead screw or the cross feed carriage? The lead screw split nut might be worn and needs replaced. On the cross feed, the gibs might need adjusted. Let me know which is loose.

Stimmt, aber ich habe nur den Rand gebrochen. Nicht viel Flex. Alles andere als das, würde ich auf Collet und Bit wechseln.

@@Eboat63 Bei Graphit wohl egal. Aber ich würde das Dreibackenfutter niemals ohne Werkstück so schnell drehen lassen.
