Worst case scenario I think he could have pre recorded his solo and flubbed the miming a little on set... This seems to me like it would totally need a recorded track to make it work for the cameras without proper on set micing!!

Until a few years ago I only had vague memories of John Stamos as Uncle Jessie playing a couple instruments from Full House, then one day I looked up his drumming and I was insanely happy to find that he's pretty solid! I really enjoy when actors playing musicians are actually decent musicians who have a real appreciation for their instrument
@tbdrummer67 Жыл бұрын
John Stamos actually played drums off and on with the Beach Boys.

For sure! I’m quite a few of his records, he played (I think) every instrument. Insanely talented man
@dpunlasmith Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he can still do a lot of it. He’s getting older , but he’s still around. There’s a video of him playing keyboards at the NAMM show from not too too long ago that is pretty neat.
@MaggaraMarine Жыл бұрын
@@jakegodman Yes, although there are some guest musicians on all of his albums. Whenever you hear horns or guitar (or bass guitar), that's not Stevie. But the keyboard (which often also means synth bass), harmonica and drum parts are most often played by Stevie.

Little trick for the triangle players out there: you should definitely check out Brazilian music. They really bust that triangle, and grooving hard with it. It'll make you think different about that instrument that you play one time every 64 bar in orchestras!

The pay off for that battle between the drum and the triangle player is that the triangle player secretly knows how to play the bagpipes and hid his kilt and bagpipes behind a tree before the battle. The triangle player was trolling the drum player and audience because he knew he was the better musician.

Stevie Wonder is still weird to include, because he was a studio drummer for years before he got famous for his own songs. And he has recorded the drums to many of his own songs, including the studio drums on superstition. I'm not saying it is weird to include musicians, but musicians who has previously played drums professionally before switching instrument seems pointless.
