I think it's super important to show the process of learning a piece and getting better. There are so many artists that won't show you how they get there, only the polished product, and only being exposed to end results can set unrealistic expectations to people learning an instrument. Epic as always; love seeing you learn!

Yoni Madar just posted "the most complicated exercise I've created so far." Basically, the foot (bass drum) plays "Apple Pie" (1-2-3-rest/repeat) throughout. The left hand (snare- Yoni plays this as a rim click) plays "Apple Pie" (1-2-3-rest/repeat) twice, then adds a 16th rest to make after the second measure to make it "Strawberry" (1-rest-3-4/repeat), and adds a rest again to make it a check pattern culminating in an extra full beat (17 quarter notes) then repeats. The right hand then adds the hi-hat, which plays (1-2-3-4-rest/repeat) which is 5 over 4. There is a hi-hat "bark" on beat four, closing on beat 1.

Hey there, just a friendly thing to say. Do not think because you can't do any of these insane things, or don't see yourself doing them in a near future, just be aware that El Estrpario must have around 20, if not more years of experience and practice, i myself am a drummer, and i consider that this guy is a absolute MACHINE, but it's because he worked hard for it, yes. Talent and the own capability of the brain to register and do all of this insane tricks counts, but it's also how many hours you've practiced, my teacher always tells me to do so. To always practice in the snare (which i sometimes forget) but when i do i see results, even if i'm playing an actual set or song, the normal person takes around 5 or more years to learn (to some level of expertee) a instrument, and then you can go and add your own stuff, talent is something that yes, some people are born with, but it isn't a limitator for other people to not try, try and seek guidance from any teacher, most of them can do crazy stuff on their own, and that everyone in here is different, you maybe excel at other stuff, like drawings, music, writting, it all just deppends if you like what you're doing or not (As a sidenote, please excuse my grammar, and the other ortografic errors i (will) have, i don't think this comment will reach out to many people, but if you are reading this to the end (or skipped most of it, please read) just take my word, you could ask him, or any other drummer by the fact, and they will tell you the same.)
