I just wanna send so much love and appreciation to you. For some reason, this video has been extremely therapeutical for me in my CPTSD-recovery, when I felt too scared to see a "real" therapist. They say that trust is the most important aspect of healing, and it is just something about how you speak, your tone of voice and choice of words that don't feel intimidating to me when everything else does. I know you are not a licensed therapist and this is youtube... But I think this video has saved my life. Honestly. I come back to it time and again. Thank you thank you thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, it honestly means the world to me to know I'm actually helping people. I'm so glad you feel trust in my videos, and I hope you can bring that trust into the world around you eventually. Also you'll be happy to know I actually have another EMDR video scheduled for next Sunday! Sending you lots of love and positive thoughts!

Thank you, I enjoyed this. You have a very comforting voice. I was diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago and had a few EMDR sessions as a way of processing through it. I don't know if you can ever fully get over PTSD, but EMDR did help

I'm so glad you enjoyed this, and thank you for sharing that. I did have a bit of apprehension doing this video, as I'm obviously not a licensed therapist, but I do know from experience that EMDR can be an amazing tool to deal with our emotions in relation to our past. That's what I thought the first time I saw an EMDR therapy video... it's very unexpectedly relaxing... I guess similar to things like a dentist roleplay. Dentists aren't traditionally seen as relaxing haha.

I had actually watched a few videos for research of actual therapists doing this in real life... Since it is a real therapy I wanted to try to emulate it as much as possible (even though obviously I'm not a real therapist with real training), so this is pretty similar to what you would get at a real session :)

Just like I mentioned in the description and at the end of the video, I did do lots of research for this video since it's a serious topic, but I'm not formally trained. So this is not a replacement for therapy. :)
