“I’m dope as hell” is probably the coolest positive cognition I have ever heard. :D I loved EVERYTHING about this EMDR demonstration. Thanks so much for sharing, and especially to Blaise for having the vulnerability to share this. Sending so much love!

I felt honored to have experienced how Blaise shared himself with others. It would've been nice for the therapist to have shown some empathy & genuineness in his discomfort but there was a detachment there & it was evident. The cultural context that he provided went over her head as well. But overall...he was all "good"

I appreciate your vulnerability during your demonstration. I am a recently trained EMDR therapist and I really learned more watching Paula and Blaise than I felt I did from my training; Do not get me wrong my training was great but I felt confused in some areas of the phases. I am more excited to jump in with my clients and be a part of their journey with EMDR. Thank you

Absolutely amazing in every way. Blaise: honored by your authenticity and you kept it 100 the whole time!! Great to see - and so healing for anyone who sees themselves in your story (me included). I’m also an emerging EMDR therapist… look me up if you’re ever in the Boston area! Lunch on me brother. Jay Carey

Thank you Dr. Marich, Paula, & Blaise for sharing with us your session. I really enjoy and appreciate the sessions that you provide for us. This model is very fascinating and I want to get certified. I am currently a MFT student. If you ever need a demo for another session, I would love to volunteer online for telehealth.

EMDR is not "talk therapy". Got it. But she should still attend to the client. She seemed so mechanical missing opportunities to notice his body language because she's too busy writing. Geesh! I know how the phases works but goodness. I hope he received the support he needed....

Nice work Paula and Blaise. Thank you Blaise for your vulnerability and consenting to share this. The following puts no fault on Paula or the session however, I find it sad to see the voice transcription get Blaise's language wrong so many times. The program is clearly not language/culture sensitive. May I suggest contacting the transciption service or going back and editing? It feels disrespectful to Blaise and anyone speaking with language that veers even slightly from pronounciation that transcription companies "understand". Thank you for considering

4 thumbs down for the emdr therapist 🙄👎👎👎👎…Dr. Marich’s new book is Amazing…why does Paula remind me of ….someone working a gig….this is a statement & observation from someone who has a VERY EXPERIENCED EMDR THERAPIST….# so grateful…Don’t judge emdr by this demonstration.

You were not ready to let the issue go. You may be stuck in your ego
@onemoretime22 жыл бұрын
@@orianalisi4909 Yes, you may be right! It can be really difficult to develop the awareness that we are letting ourselves be taken hostage of our "stuckness/attachments/unresolved issues." The funny thing is that such lack of awareness is like an entity that seems to prefer to be with "devil we know" sort of speak (likely feeling crappy, miserable, and in pain). Another funny thing, is NONE of it is conscious and only when the individual is ready and 100% present to go through the muck and hurdles of the unaddressed issues (however long it takes) it seems to do the trick.

Don't know where this is going, but through the first 15 minutes or so, she sounds like she's conducting an academic survey or administering a polygraph test. Disturbingly impersonal.
