EMEET S800 - Best Budget 4K Webcam?

The Emeet S800 was a consideration along with the Osbot Tiny 2 Lite. It is my understand that they both use the same Sony sensor. During the Prime Day sale the price difference was narrowed and the ultimately the software and StreamDeck (future) integration swayed my decision in the direction of the Tiny 2 Lite. Used your content on the Tiny 2 Lite as one of the sources during research and your link when it was bought as I learned about it through you. Had the price not dropped on the Tiny I just might have gone with the S800. This webcam has a good looking image. That direct comparison has got me second thinking the decision... Hmmmm. Thanks for sharing.

@@knowyourjoe8826 truth though … you got the better Webcam for sure. The Tiny 2 Lite is a beast especially paired with the app. You made the right choice!

I was looking at this one along with the Ankerwork C310 Webcam. After looking at numerous reviews, I chose the Ankerwork.

The Anker c310 is honestly horrible. The image quality is subpar at best. They are clearly using a very old Sony sensor, image suffers from horrible image ghosting & is very pixelated with even the slightest movement.Also the HDR turns the image into hot garbage. It's also severly over exposed out of the box. The software is kinda decent though. However if you disable auto exposure & adjust it manually within standard UVC controls it will reset it back to auto Everytime you turn the camera off/on or unplug it. This behavior exists with or without their software.

Forgot to mention, 60fps mode makes the image look even worse as well. Auto focus is subpar to. Had they used a newer Sony sensor with better image quality they could of had a nice offering coupled with their software.

@@MisterVaper You must have gotten a bad one. Mine works great and looks great. And almost all reviews say its a great camera for the price.

I'll tell you what the Vertical Flip is for, so you can know, understand and say it for any other reviews. It's clearly useful in case you turn the Cam towards the desk if you want to show sheets, objects or anything in the right orientation to the person watching the shot. Definitely not to shoot you upside down :) Too simple to understand. Ciao.

Flip vertical is for when you need to hang the camera from the ceiling. 😁

Interesting review. Only recently tried obs as thought it was costly software to enable me to use a Sansung Note8 as temp webcam. My existing fhd webcam is failing when zooming with poor colours and fault lines in output. Never considered how we sound until now and lots of budget webcams have poor audio so very surprised at this price level this Emeet was also low quality! thanks for thorough review 👍

Great review Mike, would like to see you compare the EMEET S300 to the Vitade 682H webcam as it is only $25 after the coupon on Amazon. Its only 1080 60fps but it would be an interesting comparison.

@@nikzel I’d pick the OBSbot meet 2 over them both. The OBSbot app makes the experience soooo much better. It is only $125, same as the emeet.

@@levelupwithmikenewman Thanks for the tip. I just picked it up for 155 euros, roughly 35 more than the S800 (around 120 euros) here in Europe. But it does look significantly better.

@@nikzelI’ve been using the OBSBOT meet 2 myself as my webcam for a podcast on my other channel, I’m loving how simple it is to plug and run with it. Color accuracy is great. I am doing a video review of it now. Love it
