Nobody ever talks about dry sump as an hp adding modification but it is a huge one. Think of it this way when your in a pool swimming how easy your arm moves out of the water and how hard it is in the water. Now imagine that at thousands of rpm’s vs your arm just damp doing a swimming motion how much easier it is. Well your crank counterweights and rods are a lot of arms.🧐

Theres no moving parts in the oil of a wet sump, specially not the crank.

@@Thumper68 The crank is in the crank case, the oil is in the sump. When the engine is running the oil drops even further away from the crank. The only oil the crank is hitting is drainage from the mains and rod bearings which is also present in a dry sump engine.

I didn’t hear what they said it weighed but if it’s in the 2600-2800# range it could go high 6’s maybe 6.7X’s BUT for over a 150 grand+ whatever would have built for the same money and possibly less time would definitely be a few tenths faster in the 1/4 and a gap fest in the 1/8 mile!

yes, Japanese DOHC tech engine are the best 4,3 liter Billet V6 can do 3500++ whp, imagine japanese car maker build sportcar like GTR but have V8 5Liter engine with technology like VR38DETT i assume this V8 with billet and all goodies like VR38DETT platfrom can do 5000++ whp with only 5,7-6 liter engine
