Great kit, been out of the hobby for a whiloe, just getting back into it. Gonna be traveling all summer, so looking to put together a highly portable kit to take along. Thanks for the info!

It's not just for emergencies. I use it every week and every camping trip. But in an emergency I have lots of options to get the traffic sent.

A real boss will not mess in the two meter and 70 cm band in a real disaster, to crowded to dangerous

2 meter and 70cm is where most of the assistance traffic in a disaster is done. If your part of the help effort you'll use it alot. If your not part of the team then just listen.

Wouldn’t you WANT to be on a band where most folk are relaying all the important info? Also it’s “too crowded too dangerous”
