Emergency Aircraft Repair at AirVenture in Oshkosh

I patched a busted wingtip at the show last year. The pilot was taxiing and hit a nearby airplane. Ended up putting about an 8-in hole in the tip. Fortunately Rutan Aircraft Flying Experience (RAFE) were demonstrating fiberglass construction. We were able to use materials on hand and get him back in the air in about a day and a half. Very rewarding experience.

Really appreciate these guys! They lent me the tools and gave me some supplies I needed to replace a tachometer this year while at the show. Absolutely fantastic folks!
