What if the tooth pain spreads sharply to the teeth bext to it in the same row all at the bottom when cold and even brushing is involved? It’s worth mentioning that I had 12 fillings and braces put in a week shot and this too is the one that has the end of the braces but also filling in it

How are you now ? I’m going in for X-rays today so nervous but it has to be done ! I’ve had one round of antibiotics and my pain came back right after so here we are 😩 let me know what helped too if anything did too get it pulled ?

What if your permanent incisor crown has fallen off n is causing a complete disturbance in the jaw! If other doctors can work as covidwarriors why is it that dentists are hesitating esp when they wear gloves n masks!

Do you have a dentist? You will need to contact them first who will triage you over the phone. If necessary they will refer you to an urgent dental centre who will see you if you have a severe pain or infection that is not managed with painkillers or antibiotics.

Sorry for missing your message. Simple painkillers like paracetamol and ibuprofen (if you are able to take it) and keep the area clean. Sometimes it hurts because food gets stuck or it is exposed to hot and cold - you can use some soft orthodontic wax (or babybel wax) and use this to cover the exposed sensitive part. If you are in England you should be able to make an emergency appointment. Good luck 👍

i am amazed how dentist in Europe and USA are able to reopen and treat patients. UK on the other hand doesnt seem to catch on. i am thinking if Covid is here to stay like flu we should seriously re-think our medical care. either give thw right equipment to dentists or test incoming patients. you have to start treating them or the nation will be toothless in a couple of years. it's outrageous. i have 2 cavities and in pain my dentist wont treat me hence i decided to go abroad. bloody hell.i wrote to the dental chief in Scotland. i am not a happy bunny.

You have to take all your antibiotics before the tooth can be removed or the infection will dangerously spread

I'm getting a root canal in a few days and the infected tooth is really sore. My question is that is it normal for a damaged nerve in the mouth to affect eyesight? Whenever I get sudden sparks of pain from my tooth white lines appear in my right eye which temporarily blurs my version in that eye. A splitting headache and numbness around the right side of my face follows. The tooth in question is on the upper right section.

Hi Alex, ibuprofen in addition to paracetamol may help. It is best to contact your dentist who may prescribe antibiotics or refer you for treatment. If you are not registered contact 111.

in short... if you have a dental problem they will just give you anti biotics and tell you to jog on. been in intense pain for over a month and the help i have had so far is beyond a joke..

I'm so sorry to hear that, if the antibiotics haven't helped, do get back in touch with your dentist and see if you can get referred to an Urgent Dental Care centre. They have opened and are seeing patients face to face with the correct PPE, although access is limited in some parts of the country so you may need to travel.
