Looks like a nice fire setup. You could also use some 550 fire cord in place of the regular 550 for some extra tinder.

I like it. The one thing I do different is use an old lip balm tube and fill it with Sterno. Used it many times. Probably have 4 tubes in different places. Great tip to remove the safety on the lighter. I'm going to use my Leatherman to remove those things. Thanks.

I have a similar set up but with a carmex canister. The old school yellow metal lid and white glass jar works well also. Save them after youve finished using it. Theyre handy for this sort of thing

Nice tip. I always have extra bics and was aware of the duct tape. The chapstick and vaseline are new to me. Thanks!

Personally, I use a pill bottle because they are air tight and I can fit a Bic lighter and several birthday candles wrapped with about a half of a cotton ball each rolled into each candle so the cotton gets permeated with the wax! Not as messy as Vasoline can be and if the candles get hot enough to melt in your pocket/pack they just get more saturated with wax! Also, there are 4 strike-anywhere wooden matches wrapped in saran wrap in there as a backup for the lighter! I give these away as a little gift!

Nice setup. You could easily tape a small ferrro rod to the lighter as well.

Heck yes you could! Hope all is wellJeff!

Good stuff man, with the paracord, you could use Titan Survivorcord with the 7 strands plus fishing line, snare wire, and waxed jute twine in it as well.

There is some potion with vaseline and some kind of metallic powder maybe Magnesium or something......and cotton balls. One spark and kaboom , lol. Insta-fire but dont get any of that stuff on you because you will set yourself on fire , hehe. I forget where i saw that but I think your set up is safer. Good stuff

I found a company that puts their lip balm in a container that resembles a 20ga shot shell "Balm Shot" the base is smooth and won't rotate in your pocket, and the lid Snaps on like a mofo and won't pop off, requires some force to open it. I have a couple containers, I think I know what iam going to do with them.🇺🇸👍✌️

Andrew is a solid dude, no doubt. This is a pretty old technique and if it came across as trying to “copy” what someone else has put on YT, that certainly wasn’t the intent….esp since I don’t watch a lot of related content.
