I know it's a great feeling when you can give food and necessity items to a child that is struggling to make a living. I just recently sent a bunch of stuff with my son, when he went to visit his sister, brother in law and niece out of state. I had messaged her to see for sure what all she could use and still sent a few things extra. She appreciated it very much.

I hope your daughter knows what a brilliant mum she was blessed to! My eldest is a struggle to find food/nonfood items for, what began as an allergy to carrots has turned into an allergy of almost everything. My son has a medical issue that never healed properly so most of his food is turned into a milkshake otherwise he'll choke. Even though both have long ago grown & moved away...I still shop for them as these dire habits are difficult to break. I'm on a disability pension due to a spinal cord work injury & wouldn't have the funds if a kind judge through Work Comp in 2019 had not ruled in my favor for medical neglect. My kids were teens when I got injured & I promised them if I ever received a settlement it would be put towards a forever home & their mum would fill it with necessities for us all including my senior dogs who are deathly allergic to chicken. Many folks have no clue the struggles those w/allergies face in buying food. It's a tenfold nightmare now! Just over a year ago, my credit was finally high enough to purchase that home. The downstairs is like an apartment which I'm steadily turning into a mini pantry & storage. It gets around -35F here, so my outside garden perennials are resting dormant in the basement bath. I know I'm blessed to have such a home. I'm not financially rich & to the outside world I've been teased as being dirt poor. I pay no energy towards those that mock my appearance....they can keep their pedi/mani spa getaways and $8 a day Lattes. Everything I own, except I've still a mortgage on the home, is bought & paid for. Just like so many other loving parents, I'm doing my best to protect & provide for future generations. When things get chaotic in my kids big city lives, I hope a large portion of their moving crates are priceless necessities too.

Wow! First thank you for sharing. Next I’m glad you got the benefits you deserved. Oh, the way you budget and handle your finances is phenomenal. I truly hope others can learn to do the same. Just because I have a little money doesn’t mean I have to spend it. I get my clothes from a charity closet. I totally agree with you- no manicures or pedicures, I get a haircut once a year with a gift card and a coupon. I love your friends tease how poor you are. . . If just one is paying attention to what you do and how you do it, that would be great. A basement too!! That and a fireplace give you all you need to truly make it. I’m in North Alabama with tons of tornadoes but no basement- something I really wanted when I bought. We had a basement when I was a child. You can save your garden harvest for months down there. I could go on and on - but I’m going to end with saying, you’re remarkable for doing what you do and taking care of your children. Go mama bear. You rock 😁

@@poorandposh8231 Nice to hear from you again. Your channel's truly underrated. I'm just ready to unsub from all those creators who post nothing except doom & gloom. I just feel if folks can't see for themselves that the world's going Deep South & sideways....well, preaching to them like Hell's just a door away isn't exactly setting them straight either. Lots of folks like myself have limited everything. In my own town elders on Senior Day were contemplating whether they needed Saltines or tinned fish. It's not like they were buying prime rib over a nice rump roast. It's honestly depressing to go shopping these days. I still hand out my BOGO freebie & gave the last of my extra garden veggies to the food pantry. Our winter's are very long & cold here so I'm overwintering my eggplant, 5 pepper, & 3 tomato plants in hopes to return them outdoors in April. I'm used to being the odd/eccentric lass in the bunch. I also get a hair trim once, maybe twice yrly. I love thrifting for clothes & books. I almost always come home with brand new clothes or barely worn ones. You should know by now that I enjoy sharing certain topics. My hope is to inspire others in similar situations who feel overwhelmed by the masses. I want them to know it's alright to take care of yourself & loved ones. Just breathe, every step forward is a mission accomplished.

I have a daughter that can't eat a lot of foods. She is gluten intolerant, can't eat pork, lactose intolerant and not sure what else. I just know it's hard for me to find things she will eat, without getting sick. And my other daughter can't eat pork either. I blame their dad for that part. lol But he has gotten better over the years, while theirs got worse after having a baby.

The malt-o-meal knock offs in the bags of those cereals you got are great tasting and a way better price!

Hi! I totally agree. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t live like my grandparents 😁 I have to confide in you - I’m getting really nervous with these prices. Catching deals is getting harder because I work so much. I hope my garden next year is good 😂

Suggestion. Have her fill her Gatorade bottles with dry foods. Extra sugar, salt, flour, rice, minute rice, beans, barley, raisins Oatmeal and such. That bottles could house roughly 16 to 20 oz. Or so. A emerency stash in her pantry.

My biggest help to my daughter who didn't make it threw the month was to hit every food pantry. I don't care how it looks or who See's you. My money is mine she needs to learn to feed her kids and how. I can say telling her to get off the phone stop making reasons why she can't to start yard sales on everything on value. She went to every food bank her take home is eight hundred a month from food banks. This is government funded not by people. She couldn't believe it. She has a massive pantry stuff full and now she turned her walk inn closet into another big massive pantry she is learning stress free on how to feed her kids and self and great full she was pushed. We pay for this in our taxes and that's not to support illegal people it's to support her.

That shopping trip must have hurt your soul like it did mine LOL! Your daughter is so blessed that you look out for her and are helping her adult. Ranch and Peter Pan peanut butter 40 oz are BOGO at Publix this week. Don't know if you eat PB. Great deals!
