Tennessee Grocery Discount Store - There were deals!

Stocking up and Saving money buying things I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. I food share with family and friends. I think of it as modern bartering, only without expectation of anything in return. If I need something I start with family before I go buy it. And they call me for the same. We buy different things on sale and well, just share

We have one of those stores, here in Tennessee, where I live. Some fair prices, but a poor quality product here and there from time to time. Still, the bulk of their items are good. My sister loves to shop there.

I just found your channel. I think you did very good for $100. We have a Salvage door that we go to once a week and also we go to the country morning some money when my friend gets her food stamps we spend the day going to salvage doors the trunk and backseat is so full you cannot move, and that’s how we save our money, and I am a big couponer a dollar makes me Holla.

I know that feeling! I couponed for years, but once my kids moved out, I had to stop. It almost makes me sad, but I have the things that i need for super cheap. I hit construction dumpsters for wood and building materials 😂

When food is that close or passed the best before date, some of those prices are still too high. There are so many struggling to feed their families and huge amounts of food is still going into landfill’s. There’s got to be a better solution.

"Best if used by" or "best by" dates are bogus. Most food will last, and be good, way past those dates. Chef Alton Brown advised consumers to just ignore them and learn about the real shelf life of food.

Great haul. Not sure how close you are to Athens TN or Cleveland TN but there is a guy who sells dawn dish soap buy the gallon for only 5 bucks. He also sells Gain, Tide, Downy, and some hand soap but the gal. For 5 each also.

Woohoo, now THAT'S what I call a score!!! I'm in California and we have a Grocery Outlet here as well. We don't quite get the deals like you do, I never see cases on sale, but we still get some pretty good deals. I feel ya on those burritos. Completely mushy inside. However, I cut mine in half lengthwise and put it in the air fryer to see what would happen, and it did make it a bit better. Might also work in the oven if needed. Fantastic video as always!!!

It’s an amazing store, right! I think the deals vary depending on when you go. I’ve gone some times and everything is so expensive and other times super super cheap.. I tried baking the burritos and broiling the the last few seconds then top with cheese, ranch dressing , diced tomatoes and jalapeños- better 😀

I looked up the dawn on the Walmart app just like i see Aisha did. It's not a bad price, all in all. It's cheaper when couponing, but 1) you're not having to play the store rewards game and 2) you're not buying a bunch of random stuff to use a $10/$60 (example) coupon. The prices on a lot of the food are totally amazing! The burritos... I'd buy them for my son without hesitation. And, the ice cream novelties too.

@@poorandposh8231 hmmm, I always thought the burritos were tasty as is, but some sauce would be good too. I'm vegan so I wouldn't partake in quite a bit of the stuff that we can get good prices on. And, the vegan stuff we can get cheap is crammed full of sodium, soy, and additives. Being vegan is a drag. 😂

We have Mennonites here in TN and if you live near one of their stores you can get really good deals on spices and coffee that are high quality and cheaper then the grocery stores now my local Mennonite store has a enormous spice section even had cinnamon sticks for $10 and it was a whole little container of them vs 2 of them at my Walmart for $13

OH have mercy! I have been so fortunate at being at the right place and time to catch discount coffee for at least the past seven years. I can’t imagine paying retail much less $20. But I love my coffee so if I had to I would probably pay the $20. 😭

Because I live in Crossville Tennessee, but it takes me more than 30 minutes to get to the nearest city, which is also Crossville Tennessee.. Thank you that’s very good advice. I usually freeze them for a couple of days and then leave them out for a couple of days and vacuum seal them. There is nothing worse than rancid grits and I don’t want bugs in them - I had to learn the hard way

If you live near the border Shoppers Drug Mart has 18 pack of cans for $8 CA. If you are a senior they give you another 20% off on Thursdays. Add that 25% to 28% or better on the dollar you will pay about $4.50US a case of 18. Plus no deposit. Our bottled spring water is around $2.20 a case of 24, 500 ml.
