the pseudo-independence of adolescence was a great conversation. it’s so weirdly sentimental, like i’m just barely an adult but i crave to go back to my youth and just be a kid. it’s funny too because everyone older than you always warns you to appreciate your youth but you never really listen. all we wanted to do was grow up. idk it was a really meaningful conversation to me.

As psychotic as this sounds, I think this podcast has genuinely helped me. I have social anxiety, and I remember one time y’all were talking about how you’ll just go out in public and act goofy, and, if anything, ur giving people a story…that really stuck with me. Now when I’m paranoid of ppl judging me, I remember that, & how y’all just don’t care, and it’s, like, changed my brain chemistry & helped me sm…also shout out to Ky bc I swear his calm aura is infecting me, idk how to put it…it’s probs the k3tamine energies leaking through the screen 🥰Anyway, Thank u, somehow this podcast has made me a less anxious person, and I look forward to it every week That was way too real probably

I deleted tiktok like 5 months ago and it’s helped a ton, just let it go for real like. It’s too much information at one time. Even though some things are good like, why do I need to be hyper aware of my own self and everything else in the world, and everyone else’s energy on there? It’s too much babes life doesn’t have to be overwhelming but we do it to ourselves with overexposure to everything. That’s not to say to not stay up to date, if you choose, but removing yourself from it all to protect your peace like. It’s needed.
@smellylorenny2 жыл бұрын
Having gnarly thoughts and no phone or distraction to take you away from them just makes you face them really. You have to process those thoughts and emotions and face them. When I was in high school I didn’t have a phone so at the end of the day I would just have to sit in my room and the only way I could process how I was feeling was by journaling. It was a good way to really get to know myself. I don’t think young people are gonna have the means to that as much nowadays. There’s no time for them to think about how they feel about something. Always taking in information is just detrimental to your emotional growth and your sense of critical thinking... not to be ‘phone bad’ but now I’m in my 20s, have a phone, all I want to do all the time that I’m not working or doing stuff is just to tune out. Even when I’m doing chores I listen to music. And I don’t give myself time to think or reflect anymore. And it’s made it impossible for me to connect to others and myself.
