Now, one of the things about this remake that I'm noticing already is they've taken out a lot of the battle animation. There was a lot of dancing from what little I'd seen of FM2. Took forever. I get that they're trying to show that each square is much larger than what you see on the general tactical map and that the combat units are much more active in attack and defense. But, I like this shorthand version much better. That's probably why it goes away in FM3 and FM4.

So far I think the few changes they made are good, the main issue I am struggling with compared to the 1st remake is the controllers are a little more finicky and the UI screens are missing a lot of information that makes it more enjoyable to play. Hopefully it will get some patches where they include some of those things in the future.

You are correct that 2 didn't make it to the US. And, I believe it was a PS 1 game. So was the first, though.

Didn't it originally come out on SNES or NES?

@@tetuone11 Mr. McGoogle says Super FamiCom, which is SNES. Shows what I know.

First time playing FM 2. Much more micro management with this one. FM 3 is much better tactically speaking. Take care and enjoy the game.

Thanks! I am not sure what to think of the game yet. I wish the UI was a little more polished. I think it is a little worse than 1 in that regard.
