They will. Disney has 0 creative foresight. Instead making a TV show, they drag every episode out to make it as much like one long movie as possible. Which, means that instead of realising they have the fortune to develop interesting characters with more depth they rush things to give you a quick fix of emotional pay off (like they do in the movies).

I don’t have high hopes for the show, but the way Carrie Anne Moss moves is so sick. That’s how I imagined Yoda and to a lesser extent the Emperor would fight before they were depicted as using lightsaber in the prequelss. Also the Jedi of this time giving off way more “in-balance-with-the-force” vibes, not as preachy and light-side-only in terms of their their mindset/philosophy. I guess we’ll see how it goes!

"I have an unidentified force user" said by no one ever in the SW universe. Lucas was the magic behind SW. A SW movie without Lucas is just a movie. Disney made a bad call revealing the twins before the show aired. A better move would have been to surprise viewers with this in the first episode. No one would have expected it and it would have had great effect. Another opportunity lost by Disney. Looked very low-budget.

The fight scene clips do look good, and they do remind me a lot of The Matrix. Especially since an actor from those movies is in the show. However, there's a lot more to making a good Star Wars show than just good action scenes. Hopefully, the show has a good plot and interesting characters.

Disney has shown its ability to "accidentally" good Star Wars SCENES in the past. --Vader clearing the corridor on the Profundity in Rogue one. --Baylan vs Ahsoka round 1. They have not shown themselves capable of making a consistently good series or movie, though. Not in the SW franchise anyway.

I think it's all a farce to have the acolyte lure the Jedi, so what we think is the main Sith Lord is actually a Sith apprentice. The apprentice is tricking her to lure them to their deaths, possibly as a test to kill the Jedi some sith test. The kicker is that all the Jedi the Sith apprentice lures are killed by him, and the acolyte dies as well, thus blaming her for all their deaths. Then, the Sith go back into hiding.

I'm sure there was a comic way back (think it was an omnibus) where there was a Jedi who had like a split personality. It was kind of a 'Fight Club' situation where there was this Jedi trying to track down the person killing jedi but always finding himself arriving too late , not realising he was the one who'd done the killing. Wonder if maybe we're going to end up being something like that.

This whole scene screamed 'The Matrix'. Reminded me of the fight scene between Neo and Seraph, when they first meet before Seraph takes Neo to meet the Oracle on the bench. The music with drums and fight choreography is best for beat. Never seen a Jedi fight Kung fu style or Asian style for that matter. Carrie Ann moss was pretty much playing Trinity Jedi. Did she forget she had a lightsaber. Plus doesn't mske sense she is Master Jedi that seems to be equally an matched to the apprentice fighting her

Bendu is the perfect proof of concept that it doesn’t have to be binary. I still think in RoS they should have made Rey learn to Tap into the dark side and withstand the temptation of going full dark. Ultimately bringing ‘balance’ to the force and embracing who she truly is. Would have made a much more interesting arc than just being an unfellable Mary sue with no complexity.

i liked the old lore behind lightsaber crystals. where the colors were just aesthetic based on the color of crystal a jedi chose, and sith used artificial crystals which caused the red color. idk the retcon for the lightsaber colors always bothered me.

This is how the Jedis and Sith should have fought as there are so many martial arts references in Star War particularly from Akira Kurosawa (according to Lucas himself) such as Dark/Light (Ying/Yang), teacher and apprentice and of course Samurai/Ninja in the guises of Jedi/Sith, even the attire reflected these similarities. The best martial artists from this East Asian fighting philosophy would be those that possess and therefore balance both Dark and Light side of the Force (Chi in Kung Fu or Ki in Karate!), which would be either Rei or Starkiller. From this perspective, practioners of Ying or the Dark side are necessariyl bad or evil. It's how one uses such gifts that are more reavealing of the content of their characters.
