Emerica Gamma G6 / First look / Best new Emerica?

Sorry about the way off picture profiles. I feel like I had this some what dialed in and then had to send my camera back to sony and just fugged it all up.
anyway!!! stoked on these new Emerica Gamma G6's. This is definitely my favorite Emerica shoe to come out in a long time. It just stands out and I am way beyond tired of seeing 5 different Vans Authentic rip offs with different names on them. This thing is clean, comfortable and stands alone in the Emerica line. I hope you dig it as much as I do.

I got these in the white colourway and skated them today for the first time. I gotta say they feel amazing, this might be the best flicking shoe I've ever had. Kickflips immediately felt proper. Impact protection seems medium to good and the cupsole itself has medium thickness. Definitely good enough though I have ordered some Fp's to go along with these. They fit true to size and look extremely stylish imo. Definitely digging what Emerica is doing atm. They are also coming out with a new model called the KSL G6 which also looks extremely nice, may look into that one after I wear out the Gammas.

Man I sure wish it would happen. It really hurts my ethical sensibilities and image of skateboarding to see all these skaters in nike's and adidas, the two largest shoe companies in the world, and nike especially being one of the most unethical companies in the world. why. why.

Emerica used to make the greatest shoes ever, now.... Herman g6 Reynolds 2013 Heretic 2013 Provost 2012 My reynolds lasted 6 years. I grew out of them before they died. Spankys g6 is most comfortable shoe ever

I’m definitely a cup sole guy I have a terrible time skating Vulcanised! It seems to be only me , I have to have my foot almost off of the board for it to flip... Have you ever heard of this problem? Cheers David

I swear if emerica brought back the ellingtons and reynolds stuff back, with their permission of course. This would bring alot of consumers back to emerica. One of my favorite skate brands.

is the fit different between this and the non g6 version? haven't skated an emerica cup sole since westgate cc. I remember the cc to be to narrow even when I bought it in a half size bigger than what i normally wear.

I cant honestly say. I will say that I typically can not wear Emerica at all because they have all become too narrow and this one fits nice. its the only Emerica that I like on foot

I like these. The problem is skinny feet so perhaps not the right choice. Why I like sb stuff it fits me awesome. Fat foot folk get options we don't. Sometimes not always. For 47 uk delivered i might risk it. Put my ishod react insole inside to take up some of the room. Got many options sb zoom insole the react is definitely the biggest i can't put those in dunks even with a c width foot, pinches my small toe. Something very foreign to me.

Is the Emerica gamma & Emerica gamma g6 the same shoe??

I think it’s the same but it may have the G6 cushioning in one and not the other

They’re different. The Gamma has a special grip compound and rubber with a basic EVA midsole. The Gamma G6 has the same outsole, midsole, and tread as the Spanky G6. Both shoes are cupsoles with reinforced toe caps though.

Please let them be wide enough. I have a friend that holds up Adidas and they're anywhere from to narrow to to small altogether. And I can't bump up half a size usually because I'm a 12.

Most shoe designs still are in this weird hipster nostalgia lock.. dc metric and es silo are rare new shoes that wont look some weird nostalgia or 2000 retro shit.. all companies have this same thing though.. and nike has a problem cos their og skate models just suck and they cant be part of this 2000 nostalgia haha

personally i love the dc lynx zero. i never had old dc, i know it was a sendoff to an old bulky dc classic. it's actually a very narrow shoe- i had to go half a size up for comfort...but I love it. Amazing board feel. Great support. Super comfortable. More modern style than all these conservative court shoes and simple retro designs. I also have Emerica Temples. I like them, but they're a court shoe, with a vulcanized sole that's super grippy but has borderline enough board feel for me - and the g6 insole doesn't blow me away, the dc has better support. It's also a surprisingly wide shoe, but I don't mind, it is super comfortable, it's made very well, and it does still feel very nice to skate in.

I skated with the Emerica rep this weekend and he always wears this shoe. I sent him this comment because I was curious of his opinion. he hasn't had any problems with this shoe in particular breaking down.... I have definitely seen some of the vulc shoes just not holding up but haven't heard much negative about this one. what was your experience?
