It is a "V" grind. Check out 5:45 - 5:55. You can see it more clearly there.

I love gent folders and have an AG Russell gent myself. For recomendations, start by checking out the Boker Exquisite, Buck Knight, Buck Prince, Kershaw Indian Ford or Lone Wolf Paul Presto in burlwood. :)

The recurve is not pronounced enough to be a problem when resharpening.

@mrkb34 Please note that "V" grind refers to the actual blade bevel, not the edge.

Great Review! Do you have any suggestions as to what would make a good EDC knife that is more on the gents folder side of the scale?
@GenKraid16 жыл бұрын
I'd say the Emerson A100 or Emerson EDC Tanto!

That would be "Close Quarters Combat".

The blade is an intentional combination of a CQC-7 and Commander.

If I buy an Emerson knife from somewhere else online, can I send it in to Emerson to get the pocket clip switched to the other side?

Are these guys hard to sharpen because of the re curve kinda blades?

does this particular knife have the chisel grind that the commander has? i know the site says conventional v grind for both the commander and the cqc-15 but the commander actually has a chisel grind sharpened on the left side. what does this knife have?

Uuummm.. The tip is called an armor piercing tip , not "Tanto". Tanto is a knife. That tip is used on Tanto , Wakasashi and Katana.
