Brother, I said it before, you test these pieces of art, on a realistic level, not trying to break open cars, or chopping and stabbing in iron and steel, thats why I dont watch any other channels annymore brother. Isaac and you are pretty consistent with them Emerson knives. Donavan showed one a few times from Kershaw. It was affordable and I should have at least jumped on it while they were prevalent.

I am an Emerson fan. I have had 7 of them and currently have 4. None of them had issues by way of how they were built, the newest one I got, the Aftershock was absolutely boringly perfect much to my dismay.

There was comment on the Emerson page that a U.S. Humvee driver sent in to Ernie (way back...maybe 15 years ago). She claimed that her Humvee's tires were all shot out and the "run flat" feature wouldn't let them get out of the fire zone quick enough, so she used her CQC7 to cut off the flaps of remaining tire so that they could get out of there. I don't know if this is a true story or even if l repeated it correctly but it does show the strength that a CQC7 has and how some military personnel put faith in the Emerson quality and design.

Same one I use and I don't like chisel either. I bought a protec emerson so it wouldn't have chisel but found out I didn't won't the auto so sold it. I think I will get rid of the chisel like you did.

Good looking knife, a linerlock isn't my first choice for an outdoors knife but I'm quite hard on them, but for an Everyday EDC knife a linerlock is lots for what people do generally. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Love my CQC7...i honestly wish he used a different type of lock but it's still a great knife. I do like the extended back tang of the blade that you can cover with your thumb, it the lock ever did slip having your thumb on that spine could help keep the blade from shutting on your finger. I just wish he would start using a axis type lock now that he can.
