Thank you! I just finished chemotherapy and radiation treatment for throat cancer I’ve really struggled a lot but I know God has healed me and has a plan and purpose for my life! Listened to the interview and the song today on the radio traveling between Des Moines and Kansas City. Love the story and the song! Went through all that college but still felt that wasn't the right calling. My cousin went to college to be a lawyer but felt the Lord was calling him to be a preacher so he went to seminary school instead. That was 17 years ago and he hasn't looked back. Still unsure of what it is I've been called to do but I'll share my story in hopes it'll help someone else because it's obviously not my time to go. When I was in high school I was living with my aunt and uncle. How I came to live with them is a long story for another time. One day I was starting to show multiple medical symptoms that something was seriously wrong. My uncle didn't believe me and thought I was faking it. Why? I don't know. My aunt on the other hand was a registered nurse at the nearby hospital so she pulled me out of school the next day to go see our primary care physician. Initial tests showed my white cell count was extremely high so they ran some more tests and informed me that I needed surgery right away. They had to perform an emergency appendectomy. When I got done with the surgery my aunt revealed to me something that I was not expecting. My aunt was acquainted with the surgeon that performed my surgery but told me he was not a very religious person. When he looked at the x-rays and performed the surgery he said in his many years of doing surgeries he had never seen an appendix that swollen and not ruptured. He said I must have had a guardian angel watching over me because he had no other explanation for why my appendix hadn't ruptured. He said it was like someone was holding it together. Otherwise I'd probably be paralyzed right now from the way he was talking
