Seriously. 2000's had a few good songs. Everything now is sampled loops with autotuned vocals

1 of the 90's best songwriter, performer, artist and band Tonic. but, underrated. Now we can just hear it as part of the nostalgic past.

First of all this is God given talent, I detect that special quiver in his voice. Emerson's music is not of this era, he has a style of his own. I wish you all the best. Thanks to Mom for introducing us to you.

This song hit me hard when I first heard it back in the 90s and it it does every time since. He is such a talented songwriter, musician, and vocalist. He deserves so much more credit than he gets. And he’s just gotten better over time. Thanks for the great music, Emerson!

I can honestly say in my humble opinion, that Emerson is one of the most talented song writers I have heard. His lyrics are very poetical and metaphoric. He's great!

In an earlier unplugged video he said that someone asked him "don't you get tired of playing this song" - and of course he said "no - I wrote it" - and I'm sure he remembers why and when and how he felt - when her were blue and she said - "I love you" -
@brad_in_yyc4 жыл бұрын
He wrote it at 21 when he called his mom and told her that he was getting married to a woman he quickly and deeply fell in love with. To which his mother said he was dumb. He responded with "If you could only see the way she loves me." and didn't talk to her for several years after. When he hung up the phone he wrote the song. Huge part of his life.... Apparently his mother was right though. Haha.

Brett Ray I saw another video of them live, and it looked like he was using a capo at the 1st fret. There's no capo in this version. It seems to have a different vibe even though it's only half a step lower.
@MawcDrums7 жыл бұрын
There still is a capo on the first fret though. I think he downtuned his guitar a half step or something
