In 1994-1998 Benchmade contacted Ernest Emerson for permission to create a production version of the custom CQC-6 Design Emerson declined but instead, he created the CQC-7 and submitted this new design for production in 1998 this design was produced by Emerson Knives.

I've been wanting an Emerson for a few years now. I went and bought one today after viewing your video. They were out of the S35VN version so I just picked the 154CM version in the thunderstorm finish. Thx!

@@nerv5th I received my Emerson cdc-7BW today and I am very happy. Thank you! I had the Kershaw version but there is no comparison. I'll probably order another model or two. Thanks for making my wallet a little lighter. ;-) Keep up the great videos. I think I have been watching since you started the channel.

@@dlangston2020 Happy to see that you like your new Emerson they had come a long way with quality control from those old days when a lot of people complained from fit and finish to late lockup issues I also have my CQC7 from the new batch but the commander is from 2009 and I'm very happy with it I just wish they would again offer sale to dealers so we here in Europe could get them at a reasonable price. Who knows maybe in the future they will. Thanks for your support and have a great day.

only the flipper version is in s35vn, the regular one is always in 154cm as far as i know
