I lost my Emerson Sheepdog, so I'm in the market for a new knife. I think this one will do. Edit 5/5/23: I found my Emerson Sheepdog trapped in the space between the passenger seat and the center console area of my Audi S5.

dlc is not that expensive, spyderco uses it on their black pm2 models, which are cheaper than emerson knives. you can test it though, if the finish fades from carving wood and cutting boxes and light stuff, it's probably not dlc.

How is the edge geometry? Had SuperComms with way too thick edge angles. Are the new ones slicers?

No, none of my emersons are slicers, but that's not what they are for and we're not designed to slice.
