Tristemente no podré ir al Forcefest, he tenido otros gastos y no se me harán, tuve la mala suerte de nacer y vivir en el estado de Veracruz (dominado en su mayoría por el género urbano) pero al menos si me gustaría que incluyeran Fractions, Wolrd Away e incluso tienen rolas potentes para el desmadre pero que no tocan como Scissors, además son una banda tan independiente que tienen su propio estudio y su tecladista es su propio chofer de autobús.

this is not a band that should have to independently raise money for each album... they’re amazing, period.

It's a choice more than anything. They could easily go re-signed by Tooth and Nail. They have the experience, connections, and fan base to do it on their own. There is also no strings attached to anything. Even if they negotiated a sweet deal with T&N they'd still give up some money and rights. Matt is big into the production process too.

hmm, good point. i didn’t even know bands did that. if it works for them, that’s awesome. it seems a little unfair to ask fans for money when they could be getting it from their label, but if that means they’re putting out the content they want with no restrictions then i’d say it’s worth it.

No worries, it’s a stylistic choice. A lot of singers in this genre (not limited to) I’ve noticed will sing with more grit or just experiment and shake it up in general with their vocal deliveries live. But his voice is still safe and intact 🙂

I haven’t gotten there yet.. but I’m glad I’m not the only one hearing how off the vocals are. Emery has been my favorite band for over a decade now, but this is easily the worst performance I’ve come across in a long time of theirs. Toby and Devin both sound way too strained and like they are shouting more than singing half the time. Still love em to death, but this isn’t a great representation of their talent and their great songwriting.
