What, no plumbers putty in that drain?

There is a rubber gasket for sealing. I thought about the putty, but there wasn't any before so it is not absolutely necessary. Besides, it becomes that much more difficult to remove next time the drain needs to be changed. Thanks for the thought. It would be real bad to have the drain leak...
