Also, saw this feature on another review - the blades are what hold the tank's cannon forward in tank mode, if you put that part of the cannon in with the blades forward, the cannon is able to tilt up in the tank mode.

I'm convinced that the sword is a reference to the stat sabre from armada, it makes sense to me at least he spent the entire series chasing it and armada was the first show to give megs a tank mode.

Great Megatron. Tank Mode is very cool and much more customizable than it appears. Taking the sword blades out of the bottom of the turret allows for the arms to make all sorts of cool configurations - from angled artillery (the blades even swing down to make cool looking supports) to basically arms holding guns on a tank - which... cool. The tank treads also can be moved independently for cool siege mode and battle platform poses. The feet look a little odd, but they actually pop off pretty easy, and even oddly look better if you switch left for right in tank mode. Lots of great versatility in the alt mode. The robot mode is good, but some issues include the floppy head... why did it need for him to look like he has a broken neck?!? At least make that joint stiffer. The other joints are too stiff, and many seem needlessly limited in articulation. The sword is a bit odd, and detract anytime you are trying to make it into a rifle. I unscrewed it, cut chunk out of the bar in the middle, and screwed the post back in one blade. Now I can put either blade in any of the weapons holes or in the rifle. It works so well, I'm surprised it didn't come this way.

I just thought of an upgrade kit for this figure, or rather the green repaint. Knock out the pin the panel covering his head in tank mode, then replace his head with Armada Megatron’s (the most sinister looking Megatron in my opinion)

The Seige line is looking great so far! Don't get me wrong, I loved Combiner Wars/Titans Return/Power Of The Primes, but after almost _four years_ of TF Generations toys with a central gimmick to them, it feels so refreshing to see a TF toyline where the _transformation_ is the gimmick! This is just me talking out of my ass, but maybe this is why Hasbro put a rainbow's worth of gimmicks into the Cyberverse & Bumblebee Movie lines.

I normally display in robot mode, so I've got this guy coming as my 86 movie megs. Which makes me really appreciate the battle damage. Saves my having to add it lol. I just got the Netflix series Megatron today and since he doesn't come with instructions, I was trying to transform him from robot to tank. The right side tank wheels broke off during transformation. Super glued it so I hope it fixes it.

I did eventually pick this guy up. Not a fan of the 'battle damage' paint apps, but he's just such a good looking and reasonably posable Megatron figure without being super-duper huge that I can look past that.

The titans return megatron and the seige war megs, both their weapons can be placed on either bot. Me personally I like to switch seige megs gun on the titans return megs. The gap in the top of the Fusion cannon might be a muzzle break. They are part of some real life guns and help with recoil. Why a giant laser gun needs that I have no idea but it still looks cool.

I just got this week my Siege copy of Megatron, which i was much more into then earthrise version. He is really fun to play with. I was also excited to have him, so i could try using Ractonite on him. Since I used Tricranius fossilizer on Optimus Prime as Medieval armor and more, i wanted to use , the predacon counter part on Megatron too. :p ... and yeah. Fossilizers are underrated. You can really do whatever you want. (Used 3 Paleotrex, and SS86 Wreck Gar wheels, as motorcycle Harley davidson vibe fro Arcee :p )
