I absolutely adore cats in your style! As for the two toned watercolor effect, there are lots of options! For professional quality options, Shadow Violet and Misty Morning from Roman Szmal are my favorites for this kind of color palette. I have a gray and a dark blue with DV for neutrals, and Schmincke also makes a full super granulating line. Lots of other brands have followed suit, and there are lots of craft quality options as well! You can also get a similar effect yourself by mixing a noticably granulating color with most non granulating colors. The non granulating color will be the more consistent undertone, and the granulating color will dry on top. I love Violet Iron Oxide or Potter's Pink for the granulating color in earthy compostiions, and Cobalt Green Deep is a fun one for blues and greens!

You have to try Daniel smith’s Moonglow, it absolutely has that combo of violet, blue, pink, purple, it granulates beautifully. One of my favorite colors hands down

It's pans rather than tubes, but Kuretake do a set of five granulating paints that I've seen used to incredible effect, and three of them are purple-based!

I like the serious guy at the bottom, it reminds me of my boy who we lost a couple of years back. @Emily Hughes just a suggestion, when I finish a piece I was planning to outline or I'm not sure if I want to, I photocopy it and try it out on the copy before moving ahead. It not only helps me decide but gives me the practice with the outline process too xxxx

Daniel smiths "imperial purple" or roman szmals "mineral violet" have exactly this lila-pink -watercolour-look your looking for 👌 (roman szmals is much more affordable, but they are both incredible beautiful! ❤)

How can I choose a favorite cat when they're all so good!! 🥹 That color palette is so lovely, and I love the playful paw and ears sticking out from the composition! 💖Also those watercolor sheets are AMAZING!! I never expected that amount of pigment in them!

Its so satisfying to watch you define the cats with one color at first 🥰 I love the result 💜 for a paint with similar effect mineral violet from roman szmal comes to mind, but its a bit darker. However the closes paint I've seen with similar effect to the indigo is putple spinel from kusakabe harmonia series. It's gorgeous!

i loved the coloring. my favorite because of the expression is the middle one. it gives me what do you there are no more snackies ? kind of vibe. lol also i love that purple, its pinky purpley blue ness. awesome.

Beautiful work! You mentioned having a pre-made color of what you were painting on your piece. Though it's not exactly the same, I think you would love Daniel Smith's Rose of Ultramarine. It's my all-time favorite of Daniel smith's colors. I hope you'll be able to give it a try, and keep up the nice work! 🌼😁

You can look into Roman Szmal Aquarius watercolors! Misty Morning is my favourite granulating one, splits into blue and purple. Mineral Violet is beautiful one too

Definitely more of a back peering cat type myself. Cautionary with a healthy observational sense of intake and judgment. Closer to the exits. These are all great tho!! Great vid and arts. Take care and carry on!

I haven't noticed any warping! Though if I leave it on a piece for longer than a few days, it starts to peel up

One of our friends had the same issue. They gave the cat a collar that says "don't feed her, I already did". It helped a lot 😁
